The Drumpf Organization on Tuesday agreed to pay nearly $300,000 to the government of Scotland after a multiyear effort by the company to block construction of an offshore wind farm within view of one of the organization’s golf courses, according to The Washington Post.

“Expenses amounting to [$290,000] will now be paid to Scottish Ministers by the Petitioners,” a spokesman for the government said in a statement, according to the newspaper.

The Drumpf Organization first sued the government to block the wind farm during its initial planning process, with now-President Drumpf saying the project would obstruct the view of “perhaps the greatest golf course anywhere in the world” and writing in a 2013 Scottish Mail on Sunday op-ed that he would “fight [Scottish First Minister Alex Salmond] for as long as it takes — to hell if I have to — and spend as much as it takes to block this useless and grotesque blot on our heritage.”

He was trying to protect his neighbors from windmill cancer.

Former national security adviser John Bolton reportedly criticized President Trump's foreign policy last week, accusing Trump of being motivated primarily by personal or financial interests in his dealings with Turkey.

NBC News reported Tuesday that Bolton made the comment at a private gathering last week in a global investment event organized by Morgan Stanley, at which he also reportedly took shots at Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump, who remain White House aides.

NBC, citing people who heard the remarks, reported that Bolton said he believed Trump to be motivated by some personal or business relationship in Turkey, while questioning whether Trump should apply his business acumen to foreign policy.

I think the more important question to ask is what are we going to do when a more palatable group of people is in "power." How far can we get with a democratic president and House, but a Senate that is short of a filibuster proof democratic majority? The party has got to grow some fvcking balls once and for all. If they are in the majority, it will be imperative that they get things moving the right direction in a hurry. In 2021 and for the foreseeable future we will still have to face the reality that 35-40% of this country is flat out nuts. What are the plans come 2021 to deal with them so we don't turn around and lose it all again 2 years, or 4 or 6 years down the road? Like I said, the democrats better grow some big brass ones and put them to work quick.

This will eventually be a very good thing because it creates an impossible vicious circle for the fascists. They never allow the rubes to recognize how isolated and insane they are, so any GOPer who actually smartens up and tries to pull out of the dive will get primaried thus giving us an even more insane conservaturd to challenge in the general. Political parties have a natural aversion to going extinct: they broaden and react to the electorate -- the whole "representation" idea of being a representative. But the GOP has neutered their ability to adapt by putting all their fanatical followers into a killing jar where no matter what is happening factually they are still fed the Kool Aid every day as if nothing is happening. So: the party gets even crazier --> the moderates are purged --> the party loses more seats --> the party gets even crazier...

The Republican party may actually drive itself into extinction, something which, given their natural advantage of having billionaires and corporations support them, should be theoretically impossible. We're watching a morbidly obese man eat himself to death.

Democrats under the age of 50 realize that for two generations we've been throwing snowballs and Republicans have been throwing grenades. We are done with their bullsh-t. We are going to seize majorities and then ram everything down their f-cking throats. The double standard is finally over. The cowards and fifth columnists within the Democratic power elite are literally dying off, and the kids are alright.

You folks seem to be overlooking the fact that the Judicial branch of government will be severely stacked against us - and those are young judges with lifelong appointments. They aren't going anywhere.
