Trying to fire Mueller, firing Comey, Puerto Rico, selling US foreign policy to the highest bidder, Child Separation policy, Stormy Daniels payments, however many offenses related to Russia, there's a lot of things (it's difficult to even remember them all honestly) they can and should hold him accountable for and narrowing the scope serves zero strategic purpose.

Narrowing the scope is almost paramount because the average American is an absolute idiot. Find the thing that is most easily explained, why it’s bad, and how bad it is, and crucify him with it.

Otherwise it’s just noise.

It's not that hard to explain to the average American why the border camps and a child separation policy are insane and illegal. Or why firing the guy who investigates you is impeachable. Also the guy probably isn't going to reach the threshold for impeachment given how insane the Republican party is and that's not really even the point.

This. There are some pro-impeachment people (including yours truly) that agrees with the stance that keep the scope narrow and simple, even though the net is WIDE, just so the simpletons can actually see it, understand it, and get behind it.

It's not. BUT, to get those ignorant people on the "support impeachment" side, you have to keep it simple. Quite sad, but true. You introduce 50 different ways that Trump can be impeached, you lose a good chunk of the audience.
