POTUS 45.6 - Russia Is Just A Witch Hunt

Re: POTUS 45.6 - Russia Is Just A Witch Hunt

That teacher trying to dismiss everything by saying "they're just words" doesn't get it. Yes, it's important not to escalate, but how little empathy can you have when a kid is being racially bullied for months on end?

It's a sad reality of small town America. Mrs. EoDS' aunt and uncle have adopted children that are varying shades of not-white. They go to small, private schools and deal with this **** CONSTANTLY.

People don't seem to understand that words matter. A lot.

What's really funny- when put into a similar situation, they get offended, too. It's ok for them to hurt other people, but not to get hurt. Talk about morons.

Re: POTUS 45.6 - Russia Is Just A Witch Hunt

Be proud, Trumpettes, be proud.

They’re not “bad hombres” – or “rapists,” as Trump called them in the speech that kicked off his campaign.

Rather, they’re people like Walter Cervantes, who has been sitting in the Stewart Detention Facility in Lumpkin, Georgia, for the past two weeks.

Cervantes, 27, is a husband and a father to a baby girl. His parents brought him to the United States from Mexico when he was just 7. Under the Obama administration, he received assurance that he would be allowed to stay through the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.

But Cervantes has a marijuana charge on his record. On Feb. 13, he went to a monthly meeting with his probation officer. It was part of the conditions, set by a court, that would result in the charge being dismissed later this year.

“As I was finishing, the probation officer told me, two people want to talk to you,” Cervantes told one of my colleagues who visited him in detention.

The men were Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents. Instead of going home to his wife and baby daughter in Marion, North Carolina, Cervantes was detained. Thanks to his probation, he was a convenient target for federal agents freed by Trump’s new immigration orders to detain and deport a far wider class of immigrants than before.

Under Trump’s new mandates, any immigrant in the country without proper documentation who is charged with or convicted of any offense, or even suspected of a crime, is now an enforcement priority. It doesn’t matter how minor the offense. It doesn’t matter if the person has paid their debt to society. It doesn’t matter if the offense is a criminal charge stemming from the person’s immigration status.

Even the Dreamers, the DACA recipients like Cervantes who arrived with their parents as young children, are at risk.

Immigrants who have regular contact with a court, school or government agency should not have to worry that they are particularly vulnerable. Yet, many are. In El Paso, Texas, for example, agents detained a woman inside a courthouse just after she received a protective order against an abusive boyfriend.

The Los Angeles Times reported that up to 8 million people could be targeted for deportation by Trump’s dragnet.

NY Times, (By MICHAEL S. SCHMIDT, MATTHEW ROSENBERG, ADAM GOLDMAN and MATT APUZZO) JAN. 19, 2017

So, ...
- NYT says "wiretapped". (Note: Same NYT reporters in March now say "what taps?")
- Yet, Sunday, Clapper says "no wiretaps" --> http://www.nbcnews.com/politics/pol...lapper-i-can-deny-wiretap-trump-tower-n729261
- NYT says "no conclusive evidence of wrongdoing".

Oh, and as NYT says ...
" ... some of the wiretapped communications had been provided to the White House." <--That would be the Obama White House.

The story here is Trump finally got to reading the NYT from Jan 20 (and can't fully comprehend what it said or means/meant).

Still trying to play the game I see. Did Obama tap Donald Trump? That is what started this and is still something you cant seem to admit conclusively never happened.

Again if you dont want people to believe you are defending Trump stop playing shell games with facts to try and prove what he said isnt the bold faced lie it was.

But just because you seem to want to pretend to be "independent"...was anything done, or even mentioned in any of these articles and accusations illegal? If there was who did it. (I will give you a clue, the only illegal stuff was done by the side you are getting Spinal Bifida over trying to defend :D )

And the story here is that you apparently just did, too, and you still don't have anything showing Obama personally ordered the illegal tapping of Trump Tower, which is the 1/250 possibility that you are staunchly defending as though it actually happened. Or did Drudge just find this and now you're playing it off as your own research?

Re: POTUS 45.6 - Russia Is Just A Witch Hunt

Am I missing something, or was the NYT talking about taps of Russian agents? And that the only way Trumpies showed up on those taps is if they were talking to Russian agents, which would be criminal and which they perjured themselves denying?

So that essentially Trump's big reveal is that a legal, FISA court-ordered wiretap caught him and his people committing treason?

Welp, he's got them there! :p

Pretty much all this.

Re: POTUS 45.6 - Russia Is Just A Witch Hunt

The teacher is basically a backhand racist, and should be disciplined along with both students.

If you listen to the tape the teacher said (twice), "he used words."

The article incorrectly quotes her as saying "he only used his words." And my friend EODS quotes her as saying "they're just words."

Those phrases have different connotations in context and if we're going to call for that teacher's firing, and/or call her a racist, let's at least be accurate.

Chaffetz quickly emerging to the front of the idiotic line with his "healthcare or iPhone" comment.

The "just" is pretty well implied. I'm not going to argue semantics here.

Hey, one man's semantics is another man's parsing of the language!

Re: POTUS 45.6 - Russia Is Just A Witch Hunt

This is starting to remind me of when conservative pundits and Republican officials bent themselves into Klein bottles defending Palin's statements.

In Trump, the right has reached its apotheosis: a rancid, foolish, ignorant, old, lying imbecile. This is what the GOP in particular and American conservatism in general has been hurtling towards for fifty years. They mastered inanity with Reagan, malevolence with Cheney, ineptitude with Dubya, and ignorance with Palin, and then rolled it all up into a ball with Trump.

And now their paid flacks, useful idiots, and apologists are on a 24/7 deathmarch to defuse, excuse, and contextualize whatever this dingbat spews.

Couldn't happen to a nicer group.

Ok...the teacher is wrong no matter what phrase she used. She failed to deal with the situation properly. You want to get pedantic about it that is your choice but it changes very little.

Re: POTUS 45.6 - Russia Is Just A Witch Hunt

Facts are so inconvenient: http://thehill.com/business-a-lobby...medium=website&utm_content=link&ICID=ref_fark

President Trump early Tuesday incorrectly blamed the Obama administration for releasing 122 "vicious" prisoners from the Guantanamo Bay detention center.

“122 vicious prisoners, released by the Obama Administration from Gitmo, have returned to the battlefield. Just another terrible decision!” Trump wrote.

Trump posted the tweet 31 minutes after Fox News tweeted about a U.S. airstrike that killed a former detainee in Yemen.

“Former Gitmo detainee killed by a U.S. airstrike in Yemen; at least 122 former Gitmo detainees have re-engaged in terrorism” the “Fox & Friends” account tweeted just after 6:30 a.m.

But according to the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, 113 of the 122 former detainees who have re-engaged in terrorism were released before January 2009, when former President Barack Obama took office.

Also, I'm sure the news outlets love having to have interns watch FNC 24-7 so that they have context to what the hell Trump is talking about half the time.

Re: POTUS 45.6 - Russia Is Just A Witch Hunt

Trump is proving his campaign statement was true. "I could stand in the middle of 5th Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn't lose voters". It's the same thing with Twitter and he doesn't care. As long as even 1% believe Obama was responsible for AIDS because Trump tweeted it he's good. The GOP sure as s**t isn't going to hold him accountable so why should he care?

Re: POTUS 45.6 - Russia Is Just A Witch Hunt

It's Tuesday, so that means two things: more potus tweets, and more bomb threats to Jewish centers.

Apparently all 100 senators have sent a letter to trump asking for action on all the anti Semitic threats.
