I don't understand that requirement that it be beyond what the average citizen does.

You can just live here. Do nothing more. Just do your job, go home, maybe date a little, or you can do something extra for your fellow man. That is serving your country, IMO.

Except that average citizens do things like teach, coach, raise children to read and be curious, are kind to their neighbors and friends and generous to those in need. All the time. All around us.

Your point is taken, and I counter with that is what the average citizen SHOULD do normally. Is that above normal?

I think average citizens do do those things, but we're getting into semantics and what we each perceive as average. I think we agree enough to let it rest.

I can live with that. :)

Edit: Wait, holy sh*, did we agree to disagree?! GROUNDBREAKING POLITICS RIGHT HERE, FOLKS! AMAZING. Hasn't been seen in YEARS! :D

Not groundbreaking politics. Democrats do it all the time.

Sniffles apparently forgot Barron was his son. Which I suppose is understandable since he was preoccupied during Melanie's pregnancy and Barron's infancy.

However, if he banned vaping because it was a threat to Melanie's son, wait until he finds out how dangerous school shootings are.

Don’t mix issues. Issues surrounding vaping is an admirable thing to look at.

yeah, I might **** on him for the odd way he referred to Baron, who is supposedly his son too, but just because the nation doesn't have the backbone to address gun violence doesn't mean we need to ignore other issues

"The nation" has plenty of backbone. The problem is a handful of politicians who were bought by a lobbying group for gun manufacturers.

why only flavs? aren't the tobaccy flavored vaps dangerous? or are those safe like cigs?

Flavored directly targets kids with the goal of getting them addicted to nicotine at an early age so they have a customer for life.

Massive difference between that and regular cigs.

Re: POTUS 45.57: We Should Have Voted for Zaphod Beeblebrox Instead.

Our future if the Nazis win again.

Russian law enforcement authorities have carried out mass raids on the homes and offices of supporters of the Kremlin critic Alexei Navalny.

Searches took place in 39 towns and cities on Thursday, four days after the ruling United Russia party, which supports President Vladimir Putin, lost a third of its seats in the Moscow city assembly while retaining its dominant position nationwide.

Navalny had urged his supporters to vote tactically in last weekend’s local and regional elections to try to reduce the chances of Kremlin-backed candidates winning seats, a strategy that appears to have had some success in the capital.

“Putin is very angry,” Navalny wrote on social media after the raids. “This is a case where the actions of the police are no different from those of burglars.”

Perhaps our future even before the elections.

Stop the GOP now.

I'm old enough to remember when the mere act of a president looking at his watch during a debate could sink a reelection campaign.

I'm old enough to remember a time when people needed to wear a watch.

The problem is 1/3 of the country are vicious morons.
