I love this country.

**** the Nazis who are temporarily in power because *******s voted for them selfishly.

We will beat them and restore this country and we will drive them back under their rocks to choke themselves to death on their own hatred.

Re: POTUS 45.57: We Should Have Voted for Zaphod Beeblebrox Instead.

So I tried a thought experiment to create 50 more or less equal-ish states with the minimal amount of disturbance.

The rules:

1. Fewest total adjustments.
2. Adjustments can only be the merging of existing* states or the splitting of existing states. No "borrowing" or "shaving" is allowed.
3. * Existing will include all territories and possessions -- we're pulling everybody in at one go.

Current US state population stats:

56 entities (50 states, DC, 5 territories and possessions)

Average ratio of US population for 50 new states: 2%

Largest allowed under new system: 5%. Entities currently in excess: 4 (CA, TX, FL, NY)
Smallest to be allowed: 0.5%. Entities currently below: 16

CA splits into 3. Add 2 entities. (D+2) (R+2)

TX, FL, NY each split in half. Add 3 entities. (D+6)

Merge AS, MP (Marianas Islands), and GU with HI.

Merge VI with PR. (D+2)

Merge DC with MD.

Merge NH, VT and ME. (D-2) (R-2)

Merge MT and WY. (R-2)

Merge ND and SD. (R-2)

Merge DE with MD. (D-2)

Merge RI with CT. (D-2)

AK (.22) is under the floor but it's unique, leave it alone.

Total effect: (D+4) (R-4)

We know it was hard not to nuke anybody. Every day in every way, you are getting better and better.

That would have just made the population differentials even worse.

Class all the way...dems need to hammer this crap

“While North Carolina Democrats were remembering the lives lost on Sept. 11, 2001, their Republican colleagues took advantage of their absence.”

Rammed a budget veto through

But why do the D's refuse to work with the Rs? They are the true villains here.

I sure am glad when the GOP offices were burned down prior to the 2016 election the state Democratic Party gave the Republicans financial assistance. That has paid off in spades.

But it serves as a motto for our government.

Once they control the whole shebang down there, let's hope the Dems remember this and show no mercy.

The government you support.

And you don't? I may have disagreed strongly and even vehemently with the previous administration, but never, ever was BHO "not my president" and "not my government."

Quit whining and work to get your candidates elected if you think they can do better than the incumbents.

Sure, if you say so.

I feel your outrage. Now go throw some more kids in cages.

And no, I don't support fascists. But you do.

Awesome. Dimwit Donnie wants to extend a $15 billion line of credit to Iran, if they come back into compliance with the negotiated nuclear deal.

You know, the deal they were in compliance with til he dumped new sanctions on them.

Yep, he's the great negotiator alright.

Re: POTUS 45.57: We Should Have Voted for Zaphod Beeblebrox Instead.

I think it's just their way of tuggin' their nutsacks while bragging about how patriotic they are. From the description in their YouTube posting (Same video as Guliani's just with the extra two seconds showing of their company logo):

I hate the phrase "serve your country." Fvck those people who think only the police and the military serve their country. Every time I pay taxes, I serve my country. Every time I vote, I serve my country. Every time I protest something my country does that I don't agree with I serve my country. Every time I donate to the Salvation Army, my local public library or help clean up a highway, I serve my country. If you think the only way to serve your country is to carry around lethal weapons and look tough so you can impress your vacuous girlfriend, you have a warped mind.

You don't have a choice in that matter. You either do that, or go to jail. /semantics ;)

To me, serving your country goes above and beyond what the average citizen does.

Sniffles apparently forgot Barron was his son. Which I suppose is understandable since he was preoccupied during Melanie's pregnancy and Barron's infancy.

However, if he banned vaping because it was a threat to Melanie's son, wait until he finds out how dangerous school shootings are.

Beyond? Examples?

Re: POTUS 45.57: We Should Have Voted for Zaphod Beeblebrox Instead.

Anything you do, to get this country better, without facing jailtime, per WeAre's definition, is serving our country.

I don't understand that requirement that it be beyond what the average citizen does.
