Like I said that’s probably true for the majority of the people who voted for him in 2016. It’s also not every single one and there are some people who did who can be reasoned with, especially if a viable alternative is presented.

And this is why I thought Jusse Smollett was full of sh** from the start. Stuff like this doesnt happen in the Streeterville neighborhood.

Now, if it had happened in Bartlett, or Plainfield, Barrington, Arlington Heights, Fox Lake, Naperville, Yorkville, any of the suburbs, I'd have believed him.

70 Catholic protesters were arrested and charged with crowding, obstructing, or incommoding (a misdemeanor) by Washington DC Police today at the Russell Senate Office Building on Capitol Hill.

The visual of seeing a nun in habit and a Franciscans friar in full robes hauled out in handcuffs isn't something I ever remember seeing in my lifetime, nor ever expect to see. Not at least in the United States. :eek:

This reaction proves someone inside the GOP saw what kind of effect this could have on 2020 up and down the ticket. No polling expert or election consultant worth their salt would be for any of this and my guess is the second it aired on TV a lot of people started updating their resumes.

CNN tried it with their Headline News Channel. But the ratings were less than cats accidentally turning ESPN on at 3am so CNN turned it into "CNN Deuce" and started airing Nancy Grace and whatever scripted reality footage The Weather Channel airs too.

The online news sites have blurred news and opinion in an effort to get clicks as well. There needs to be a clear cut news site that color codes their "news" as actual news, no editorializing, with one color and opinion/editorials of that news with another color.

Good post, but the Square-One culprit in terms of disseminating disinformation is Big Tech, eg. Facebook and Google. They are upstream from the news outlets, but we all know which way excrement flows.

Those platforms have no financial incentive to filter ads/content via actual accuracy, and people eat that sh** up like beans and cornbread every single day. This is where is starts: the targeting of the BS. And Big Tech gets paid in any case.

I'm a political Independent, and pretty-much a free market guy, but -even so- I'm appalled by what sort of propaganda they allow their corporate whores to attempt to cram down our throats. This crap needs to be regulated, somehow, even if the wheezy old Republican dinosaurs who run this country don't know the first thing about what they're dealing with. (The Zuckerberg hearing would've been funny, if it wasn't so alarming at it's core. Hatch might be even be more ignorant than tRump.)

Scary times. Nero, break out your fiddle if the Orangutan gets re-elected.
