It isnt a double standard...Jews dont support Trump. Jews by and large are Democrats. They expect the Democrats to act better than Republicans. It isnt rocket science.

And while I know rufus and trix dont think it is ever right to dare question a Liberal (unless they are to the right of Bernard of Vermont of course) even before she was elected Ilhan had issues offending Jews even when she was speaking to them at synagogues. (and I know people who have seen her and told me about it personally) I still dont think she is anti-semitic but she is not exactly the brightest bulb either when it comes to public speaking. When you annoy an audience that is going out of their way to support you and come out an see you that is not a good way to do things.

She will still win and get Jewish money and the Jewish vote in her district...mainly because everything she does when she isnt saying stupid stuff (i.e. when she is doing her job) is quite good.

Nancy dealt with it...and got criticized by the trixes of the world for it. Who is she to tell Ilhan how to act as a Rep...oh wait she is Speaker of the House. Well what does that matter though ;)

If the alternative wasnt the Brown Shirted Orange Hairs she might have an issue but no way her district ever supports anyone that would be in line with Trump so she is fine. She will have plenty of time to work on her deficiencies before it really matters. Whoever her campaign manager is did it right though telling her to just get back to work and let the Republicans make themselves look stupid attacking her.

You don't mess with Nancy. She is smarter than you, more experienced than you, and will roast you in one way or another. I don't care who you are. Heck, she just took a(nother) shot at AOC. Nancy is Queen Bee up in that mofo.

Wasn't the beef over Ilhan her implying that Jews were seemingly more supportive of Israel than the United States. That certain Jewish lobbies were pushing for policies that were more beneficial to Israel than they were to United State's interests?

And here you have Red Don implying that very same thing, with the "your prime minister" and "your people" stuff. And not a peep about it.

Double standard indeed.

Yeah, again, I don't get the double standard. Omarr had editorials, articles, was on 24/7 news all the time for her tropes. Trump? Not so much.

My only issue with your post is that you posted an editorial. It's right there in the by-line: "Analysis by Chris Cillizza."

I get caught up in these pieces too, and this is where CNN, MSNBC, and yes even FAUX need to stop blurring news and opinion pieces. News is news. Opinions are like a**holes, everyone has one.

That said, I'm glad AOC is pushing buttons, but shes going to need to make her constituents happy to stay there. I want more people with enthusiasm, gusto, and Represented District over personal gains mentality like AOC in congress. I am also glad Nancy is keeping them in line, but not in a Trump "bend the knee" kinda way.

The more people are upset the more she's doing the work that needs to be done.

Well-behaved women rarely make history. I wonder when the first tiny inkling will occur here that she's not doing this for us and our opinion of her doesn't matter in the slightest.

If you are posting here you are already long past being part of the real solution. The best you can do is watch the game and try to stay out of the way of the people who are doing something.

The difference between her and Don is that doesnt even rank in the top 100 of offensive things he has done THIS QUARTER. Hard to get mad over that when he is caging up children at the border or fighting off accusations of treason.

Ilhan would have been fine if she hadnt doubled down a week later and got caught after she apologized. She needs to stop trying to be AOC and just do her job and if she does she will have it for as long as she wants it.

AOC's district loves her from everything I have read. She has no issues there. If her pushing buttons ticked them off though yeah you are correct.

AOC is smart...she knows why they put her there and she is doing just that. No GOPer is gonna beat her in her district and unless she does something ridiculously stupid no primary challenger will either.
