He's bought unquestioningly the Republicans' characterization of her, and believes that wholeheartedly, no need to actually look at her and what she's doing.

He just knows. Cause he's a centrist and all.

The killer was the $10k SALT limit. My accountant (you're welcome, Rover) is a very nice Indian gentleman and a Republican (cuz, ya know, he's rich and good at math) and he was telling me, "the whole idea was to hurt the blue states but that limit is so low it's hitting everybody."

But for that you get the privilege of subsidizing the tax cut on the rich, so you should all feel really proud.

Anybody who voted R can never, ever, ever complain about their taxes or the national debt. Ever. They f-cked us, which was the whole idea, but they also f-cked themselves because they're just so darn stupid. I cannot imagine how hard McConnell et al. laugh at the average Republican voter as they drop off to sleep each night. My god, what saps.

I asked my accountant whether his clients were surprised and angry and he said (in his extremely pleasant, lilting Desi accent) "oh, yes, yes, very much so." I asked him if he thought it would change any of their votes and he gave me the most pitying look I've ever received short of prom invitations, and said, "no, I do not think so."

I had to pay in but my rate went down.

Just heard a brief AP News report on the radio; said that this years tax refunds are averaging $2800, close to what they were last year.


Meaning, they're smaller.

Not only is it American of Trump to call Israel's Prime Minister, "Your Prime Minister" to Jewish supporters, indicating that they are not Americans through and through but it is also ok to say Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar isn't American.

"Fox & Friends" host Brian Kilmeade said on a segment Wednesday about the freshman Democrat that "you have to wonder if she's an American first."

The only way they have that data is if it's calculated based on returns already filed. Which means returns where people don't owe money, since they wait until the last minute.

Meaning it's gonna be a LOT smaller.

That's gonna happen a lot and people are going to be mad about it. Some of that will even be not exactly fair, since after all getting a refund is actually "bad" financially because it means you just lent the USG money all year at no interest.

But, (1) people are dumb so they won't understand that, and (2) we actually are all being well and truly f-cked over in a very real way by Plute Heist III: the Wrath of Don, so even though people will be mad at kinda the wrong thing, they darn well should be mad, albeit mad at themselves for voting stupidly.

Isn't that basically what she was accused of saying regarding Jews? That their allegiance was elsewhere?. And she got ravaged by the right wing echo chamber endlessly.

And yet, Republicans can say that about Muslims(and any other ethnic minority) and not a peep to be heard. Why, it's just common knowledge.

It'll work too. And then Dump will run on more tax cuts in 2020 and if the Dems don't pick the perfect candidate he'll have a shot at winning.
