They have perfected how to make Dem votes disappear down there. I'm inclined to agree that until we actually control the state government there the Dem candidate could win by 30 points and still somehow "lose" the state.

When it comes to controversial issues and contentious debates, congressional votes tend to be split along party lines. Yesterday, however, the House took up a resolution calling for Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s report to be made available to the public and Congress – and it passed 420 to zero.

The measure, which appears to have been intended to put increased pressure on Attorney General William Barr, Donald Trump’s newest cabinet member, now heads to the Senate where it’s unlikely to fare well.

That’s not just a guess. Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) not only balked when Democratic leaders sought unanimous consent to approve the symbolic resolution, the South Carolinian also issued a curious press statement about his position on the matter.

“As currently constructed, I cannot support the House-passed resolution calling for the release of the Mueller report. However, I would agree to the resolution with a simple change – it be amended to call for the appointment of a Special Counsel to:

“Investigate alleged misconduct around the handling of the Clinton email investigation.

“Investigate the abuse of the FISA warrant process against Mr. Carter Page.”

Lindsey Graham is not done with the Clinton Email investigation or the FISA warrant investigation. They had two years of total control and got nowhere. That's the same time Mueller has had and the line to the jail is getting packed.

Who is suggesting they chase it? They arent now and are already winning according to Quinnipiac :p :D

It was a historical comment that still applies today. Anyone who looks at that poll and thinks Florida is in play are as dumb as the Democrats were in 16 with Georgia and Arizona.

If the Dems win Florida, they're EV's that pushes them from 280 to 309, rather than pushes them over the line.

I'm used to seeing stupid things posted out here, beyond anything I've written myself, but that Dems shouldn't contest Florida next year after a couple of razor thin losses takes the cake. Are you people really this dumb? A state that Obama won twice and Clinton won once should be left alone along with its 29 electoral votes? Yikes why don't we just not field a candidate and let Chump waltz to re-election?

What people advocating this are doing is mirroring the Kerry campaign strategy, which is we'll throw money and resources into the exact amount of states we need to win, run the table in them and win a narrow electoral college victory. Does anybody who's not drunk right now see any problems with that?

You won't have to worry about it if you don't blow it and just accept PA, MI and WI back to the fold. It all comes down to picking someone that resonates.

None of this is hard to explain when every choice--Kim/Warmbier, MBS/Khashoggi, Putin/elections-- is viewed through the lens of "What's in it for Trump?"

If R's want to find their own witches in their own party like that- go for it. The more they do it, the more the decimate their own party. There really are R's out there disgusted with the thought that russia is trying to stick their nose in our politics. There are even R's out there who are disgusted with the human treatment going on at the border.

Just keep destroying yourself inside out. Great idea.
