Oh, please. Obama always deferred to the Republicans and wanted bipartisan support. He allowed Mitch to hide the fact that Russia was working on behalf of Trump, whether Trump knew it or not.

They can do whatever they like. But dont be surprised when ridiculous ideas then get called out by the other party. Then complain their time is being wasted on the idea that was theirs in the first place.

Obviously they dont think the GND is going to get them elected, or they'd have gone on record as for it. Then trounced the GOP on the campaign trail over it.

Kamala Harris has suggested/proposed increasing teacher pay by 13,000 dollars a piece. And doing it federally to fix the obvious discrepancy that profession sees with it's compensation. What a stark contrast.

First, its not a ridiculous idea. Once again, you're framing the Democrats' position from the Republican point of view. Of course, they're going to frame it as a ridiculous idea. We don't have to be doing that for them.


Do you know what's in the Green New Deal? I'll give you a hint. Taking away peoples' cows is not in it. You know what the first steps it calls for? To update our infrastructure, our levees, roads and bridges, our coastline buildings, whatever else we need to be doing to mitigate the damage that is occurring from these once in a 100 years storms that we seem to be getting every year. What's it gonna cost? How much did we just give billionaires in the latest tax cuts? How much do we budget for our military every single year? How much will a 'space force' cost?


You people out in the Midwest ought to be eagerly supporting such measures, given what's been going on the past couple weeks there. Instead, you're just blithely dismissing it as "ridiculous"

So point of interest. Im not in the midwest. :D

I agree in whole that we should fix infrastructure, reduce emissions, have single payer healthcare, have higher universal minimum wage, eliminate coal, be energy efficient, etc.

But i'm also aware that it can't all be done in the next 20 years, and that adding more and more debt is not the answer.
