I would challenge anyone who says it's not a big deal because they get back pay to take their last paycheck and open up a new savings account. Continue putting your paycheck in that account until the shutdown is over and federal workers get their back pay. You cannot use it for rent/mortgage, bills, gas, food, etc...anything at all.

The wall protecting Israel is doing its job, so the Meritocrats need to explain why a wall wouldn't work for the US.

This just confirms what I already knew. I am a snob. It is exceedingly shallow but all I could think of was trailer trash would run a dinner party this way and brag about it the same way. If you can't do something right then don't do it until you can.
