He should have choppered into the green zone. A family member talked about doing that before the withdrawal. Like geese putting on the brakes and doing that partial spiral thing onto a field or pond.

so if the wall is such a bad idea why is Pelosi offering 1.5 billion to build it
if it's a bad idea, why offer anything?

the national debt, can you afford your share? $66,000 for every man woman and child
letting a bunch of illegals in isn't going to reduce it, it will increase it due to more people suckling at governments teats

CNN was front and center when it came to the ratings porn trump was all during his run to winning in 2016. And since then, instead of spending any time on trying to inform people they are now part of the "trump is a bad dude" brigade. They are also one of the worst offenders around for feeling the need to show they are balanced by allowing a republican talking head on to lie as a means of balancing any news that might tend to make a democrat look good. The same thing with many other topics, such as climate change and finance. We don't need a climate change denier on every time the topic is brought up. And I can count on one hand with fingers left over how many times they focused on climate change as either helping to cause or exacerbate the severity of recent hurricanes and wild fires.

While CNN is clearly not FOX News or anywhere near as bad, they have a long way to go before they are doing a fine job of helping their viewers become well-informed consumers of news.

Agree completely. CNN epitomizes the old Molly Irvins quote that the news media thinks if they have one person on saying that Hitler was a monster and another saying that Hitler was a swell guy then they believe they've done their job.

I am not defending anyone and stop martyring yourself you are like the Lefts version of Bob Gray. I am all for good journalism...hell I pay for it! But in the US the media sucks more often than it is great. Lets not forget the NY Times, the bastion great journalism in this country, had to take shots at Clinton when writing an article about someone sending a bomb to her house. Why...because they dont want to seem to sympathetic to her. (plus they have had a vendetta against her for years) And lets not forget the outrage by their writers over Michelle Wolfe's joke at the Press Corp dinner. (which was backed up by others in the Press)

For profit media is always going to be beholden to the bottom line, and as such the quality will always suffer. Add in they have to compete with Bloggers and internet sites that dont source anything (meaning they run with every two bit story they can find) and it lowers the common denominator.

Not true. Most of it is very good. Just because the minority of it tends to be the most prominent does not mean that the majority of it isn't good. And there has always been bloggers and internet sites that don't source. Those were rags like the Enquirer back in the day before online took over. Nothing's changed.
