I doubt its personal. Paul Ryan has always been a fuking weasel. Its in his DNA. The difference is he's retiring and looking for his next grift while McConnell is not. Ryan doesn't want Trump putting the kibosh on his ability to land a million dollar no show job at some Beltway think tank so he's going to do Trump's bidding. He's got one week left. By the time this gets resolved he'll be long gone.

Not only are you a troll, but you can't even count to 60 properly.

Obamacare was passed in the brief window when the Dems held a filibuster proof majority of 60 seats. No nuclear option needed, they just had to add the Cornhusker kickback to get Ben Nelson (D-NE) on board.

If I were generous, I'd say he's thinking of the Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act of 2010, which passed the Senate 56-43 via the reconciliation process, which is completely different and unrelated to the nuclear option.

guess again eunuch, yes, the Senate passed a bill, but in the house to get the bill passed they had to change it, and in the meantime Kennedy kicked the bucket and Brown , a republican replaced him, consequently there was no longer a supermajority in the senate, and consequently in March of 2010 Senate Democrats decide to use budget reconciliation in order to get to one bill approved by the House and the Senate. The use of budget reconciliation only requires 51 Senators to vote in favor of the bill in order for it to go to the president’s desk for signature.

it was an end run to get around the requirement of a supermajority in order to pass a faulty bill
everybody, Dems & Repo's know it was a faulty bill, but that was the only way it could pass thru Congress, and that was the whole idea of requiring 60 votes, so schidt bills would not make it thru

My guess is if Itch had the votes he would have used that as leverage by now.

It's the same way the faulty Trump Tax Cut passed. And it's NOT Nuclear which is what YOU said it was. It takes following special rules to use reconciliation.

I think it was more Ryan doing it to the whole party. Them being so inept that he needed to be Speaker and THEN them being so ridiculous he had to be Speaker with Trump put to bed any chance he had at higher office. This is him giving them the finger cause he doesnt care anymore.
