Yes, let’s show him how we tear gas children. And hang nooses at state capitals.

Sure, when they re-offend you prosecute them again. The sentence is adjusted to take into account the multiple offenses. It's not rocket science. It would be easily applied to any non-citizen as well.

Are you a libertarian by any chance?

Remember the old days when people avoided seeming dictator-y.

Also, CNN has little international competition? When I'm in hotels in other countries, there's dozens of news channels in their languages. Does he realize other countries have their own news networks in their own languages? Is he even aware there are other languages? Honest question.

I sometimes struggled to find CNN in my hotels this summer. I usually settled for BBC. But RT, Al Jazeera, and a couple of channels I didn't recognize were in every hotel.

You're positively hilarious. Do you take this bit on the road?

OK Scoob, so what does SJ mean when he said:

But if you want to be a citizen, if you want a ss#, if you want the right to have a say in what our rules and laws are, then you must go through the process to become a citizen.

I read that as if you want the right to set the rules and laws (i.e. VOTE) you must become a citizen. And some would have a big issue with making citizenship mandatory for voting. Why? Because you'd have to prove you're a citizen to vote. There was an uproar about having to prove a valid mailing address recently in ND. Imagine if you had to prove citizenship at the polls. Wouldn't it be discriminatory because not everyone can afford to do that? Passports (proof) ain't cheap.

Engine technology and gas mileage (which our wonderful EPA is trying to roll back) has also improved greatly where a 6.0L V8 isn't needed to roll that SUV with confidence through traffic. A modern 1.5L I4 wheels it just as well.

Comparing the first ever 1992 Ford Explorer to the 2019, and the modern Explorer: engine has double the HP on two less cylinders. Is eight inches wider and a couple inches longer. And seats two more. All while getting better MPG.

It also goes with the American psyche that bigger is better and small cars are cheap and unsafe.

Don't blame the EPA, blame the administration. The people at the EPA are good people who don't want to see the roll backs, and they are also the same good people who helped model the recovery for GM back in 2009.

For that 6.0l, you have to look back to a '70's version that only puts out 180hp to compare it with a 1.5l turbo. ;)

As for the SUV thing, it's pretty depressing to a car lover like me. Moreso since I work for an OEM, and can't get a car for my last lease car before retiring. Ugh.

People always assume the worst! Might it be that the noose decorators in Mississippi aren't racists but are merely looking for a federal judgeship nomination from Prez Chump? I mean, is there a better way to grab the man's attention?

I have no idea, and I don't care, frankly.

See, that's another little pet peeve of mine. Why do we insist on putting everyone into these little identity boxes? Are they a Republican. Are they a Democrat. Are they a libertarian. They're a socialist. They're a fascist. They're a racist. They're an undesirable. They're a one-percenter. They're an illegal, or an anti-vaxxer or a gun nut.

Is it a way of trying to marginalize people, or to make them appear less worthy than the rest of us?

What does it matter if I'm a libertarian or not? Shouldn't the only thing that matter be whether my opinion on open borders is correct, or my opinion regarding ongoing persecution of people who have served their sentence has merit?

Citizenship is mandatory for voting (although I’d argue permanent residents should at least be able to vote in local elections, I know green card holders that own homes and have citizen children in school and they should at least be able to vote for school board and the school budget. I’m pretty sure towns are allowed to permit non-citizen voting for those issues)

If you want to make ID mandatory, then they need to be provided for free at any post office, city hall, or DMV and it needs to be phased in after a long grace period.

You’ve been brainwashed to think this is a problem so that you’ll push for regulations that disproportionately affect people more likely to vote for Democrats.

I don’t really care if you need an ID to vote as long as everyone gets one before Election Day.

Isn't it that Democrats claiming forcing proof of ID or citizenship will disproportionately affect the poor? And I can't disagree.

I agree with your "we provide such proof for free" idea. But then have it checked at the polling station. I can carry my passport or passcard for that day.

ID should be mandatory for just about everything, and yes, getting an ID should be free. I wholeheartedly agree.

Systemic Voter Fraud is a myth. And we have over 11 million illegals. So, let's all stop crying about the unnecessary ID.

Manafort violated his plea deal by lying. Trump must have a pardon all ready for him. Hope they have State charges on the ****wad.
