Re: POTUS 45.41: We Need More Tax Cuts to pay for the Tax Cut

He went, he left, he is still employed...... until Thursday. Thankfully I will be at work and miss the storm.
THis was a floater- pretend to do something to see how people will react and to let folks expend energy so when he does something half the people will blow it off cos the first thing didn't come to pass.

Re: POTUS 45.41: We Need More Tax Cuts to pay for the Tax Cut

Anyone that doesn't think the economy is about to churn isn't paying attention. Beyond just a few key indicators (yield curve spread, non-financial corporate profits, consumer sentiment and others) that suggest something is afoot factor in his meddling in trade and tariffs, tax cuts implemented without a decrease spending, the expanding wage disparity, consumer spending increases and rising housing prices that are not in line with current wage stagnation, housing starts plunged 12.9 percent in June, Japan and England are both facing the possibility of their own recession, consumer debt is increasing...

It almost seems like introducing someone to meth. The idea may seem like a neat idea at the time, but...

I'm glad the State of Minnesota has done things correctly for the most part. Although the Republicans have whined about it all along and it's not setup as good as it should be.

These days, MN is typically considered the best run state in the country - and therefore, among the best run regions in the world. A testament to partnership between the people, business, and government aimed at truly optimizing outcomes.

Yes, but it's all Democratic ideas. The ideas from the other side are insane, inane, and stupid. And yes, that's redundant and so are they.

From the NY Times today:

“I am with him all the way.” President Donald J. Trump reaffirmed his defense of Judge Brett Kavanaugh as the Supreme Court nominee faces sexual assault allegations.

Maybe they got together one night and went ***** grabbing.

Ha, yes. And Dubya did that awkward salute where he had his hands full with the dog.

Per the nyt:

“Brazilian women are saying #EleNão — or #NotHim — as they mobilize against a politician who has publicly called women ignorant, too ugly to rape, or undeserving of the same salary as men.”

Gosh, maybe women in some places are getting sick of this ****

Central/South America attitudes towards women is about just as bad as the horrific Indian/Middle Eastern stories we hear about. The only difference is one has to do with mainly culture, and the other has to do with religion.

Your Congress at work.

http://www.latimes.com/business/lazarus/la-fi-lazarus-consumer-data-privacy-hearing-20180925-story.html

The Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation will hold a hearing Wednesday on “Examining Safeguards for Consumer Data Privacy,” intended as an opportunity for lawmakers to learn about “possible approaches to safeguarding privacy more effectively.”
That’s great except for two small things.
No consumers were invited to speak on safeguarding consumer data privacy.
No consumer advocates were invited to speak on safeguarding consumer data privacy.

Who was invited? That would be representatives of some of the country’s biggest tech and telecom companies — businesses that have a highly vested interest in collecting and exploiting as much consumer data as they can get their mitts on.

Re: POTUS 45.41: We Need More Tax Cuts to pay for the Tax Cut

They have science deniers on that committee. And, in fact, the United States doesn't believe in science. We're a "greed" country. If countries were assigned college degrees we would have an MBA. We don't believe in science. We just use it as necessary to maximize profit and destruction of the planet.

And the orange clown just got laughed at by the UN audience when bragging about all his accomplishments

Yes, cause he's accomplished nothing. His ego would never let him see that. And the Republicans are so giddy over the tax cut and Gorsuch they'll never tell him.
