POTUS 45.4 - What's a Battle?

Re: POTUS 45.4 - What's a Battle?

The funny thing, I didn't see Sic contorting himself to make excuses for what Obama was doing. In fact, here he is, still telling us what a horrible man he was.

But there's nothing Trump can do where he won't tie himself in knots trying to soft-pedal it or make it seem like it's really not anything noteworthy at all. But he still isn't a supporter and didn't vote for the guy.

Really?

I'm saying Flynn had to go for lying to VPOTUS. I said they should be hammered for unsecured devices. Yeah, that's soft-pedaling.

Re: POTUS 45.4 - What's a Battle?

But in his defense, Sic didn't believe fire was bad.

Not that fire wasn't bad. But every now and then, you need fire to come through and scorch the decaying and matted underbrush, so lush green new life can spring forth in its place.

Re: POTUS 45.4 - What's a Battle?

Oh gee, he lied. The horror. The unconstitutional and criminal conduct? Meh. Obama did it too.

You nitpick and disparage the little things while giving them a pass on their actions that can fundamentally destroy the function of our democratic institutions. Watch the other hand, indeed.

Re: POTUS 45.4 - What's a Battle?

Kep, you see fascism.

I see a trading of one pathocracy for another.

A form of government interesting to ponerologists is one they have called pathocracy, in which individuals with personality disorders (especially psychopathy) occupy positions of power and influence. The result is a totalitarian system characterized by a government turned against its own people. A pathocracy may emerge when a society is insufficiently guarded against the typical and inevitable minority of such abnormal pathology, which Łobaczewski asserts is caused by biology or genetics. He argues that in such cases these individuals infiltrate an institution or state, prevailing moral values are perverted into their opposite, and a coded language like Orwell's doublethink circulates into the mainstream, using paralogic and paramoralism in place of genuine logic and morality.

Re: POTUS 45.4 - What's a Battle?

I'm soul-searching. I think my vote was the guy who saw the house on fire and ran over, but to throw in a kitten through an open window. (that's not quite right... I was 100% sure in my own mind that Hillary would win MI: I thought it was a false alarm)

You ran your tub because you thought the firemen had enough water. But then the water pressure dropped and the fire burned out of control...

Every scientifically competent poll had Hillary winning. As I said, I'm only blaming the Trumpettes themselves. They are the villains of the piece. But as it turns out based on Trump's economic policies, they're the ones who will die in the fire.

Yeah, but you don't start an uncontrolled burn in a residential neighborhood while shouting the firemen are selling children into prostitution at the pizza parlor.

Um.
I called the fire department.
I said, hey, looks like this minor spark may get out of hand because it found some dry kindling.
I even pointed to Michael Moore who made the same call.

But I was scoffed at.
I was told that spark could not take off.

Re: POTUS 45.4 - What's a Battle?

And someone will save them. When they should be letting them burn.

Who? The Trumpettes gave all the trucks, axes, and fire hoses to the arsonists because they thought Trump was going to only burn down the black district. The plutes are safe up on the hill in their gated mansion behind the moat of Congressional corruption, and they don't give two sh-ts about the Trumpettes.

And as dumb as liberals are, I think even we have learned our lesson that when half the country is burning your first priority shouldn't be the arsonists' neighborhood.

Re: POTUS 45.4 - What's a Battle?

I don't see the psychological pathology in the Obama administration that you do. In fact, I think that's a crock of Flaggy sh-t.

Dang, Kep, you're making me about as famous around here as the globalist media is making Alex Jones! I'm flattered.

Why didn't you just crush the spark with your foot?

Well until recently it was because you were far and away the craziest person here. But with all this Trump defense and deflection, it seems like your fellow knucks are making you more of a primus inter pares.

You may need to up your game, man.

The sitting AG holds a private meeting with the spouse of someone under FBI investigation. C'mon man. That's not normal. No normal cop or lawyer does that. And if they do their boss crashes down on them.

Re: POTUS 45.4 - What's a Battle?

The 4th estate doing it's job.

All of this puts more pressure on Congress to act. Although some top Republican senators have pledged to deepen their investigation of Russian involvement in the election, the party’s response over all has been irresponsible. “I think that situation has taken care of itself,” Jason Chaffetz, chairman of the House Oversight Committee, said on Tuesday about Mr. Flynn. Devin Nunes, chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, was equally dismissive: “It just seems like there’s a lot of nothing there.” Then there was Senator Rand Paul, who put partisanship ahead of national security by declaring “it makes no sense” for Republicans to investigate Republicans.

Of course, Republicans pilloried Hillary Clinton for nearly two years for using a private email server, a bad decision, but one that didn’t endanger the nation. And they conducted eight futile investigations into Mrs. Clinton’s role as secretary of state during the 2012 Benghazi attack.

Now the same Republicans seem intent on helping Mr. Trump hide the truth by refusing to investigate Russia’s hacking and other attempts to influence the 2016 election, as well as Mr. Trump’s connections to Russia and affinity for President Vladimir Putin.

Mr. Trump has no more urgent task now than putting in place an experienced national security adviser who is beyond reproach. With the world in turmoil, his three-week-old administration is consumed by a self-inflicted crisis, marked by a pattern of recurrent lying and incompetence, and perhaps worse.

She recused herself immediately. Then the acting FBI director destroyed Hillary Clinton's campaign. What more did you want to happen? Trump would have blew it off and said it didn't exist.

Yessir, good way to keep that economy thriving. See, a good businessman would understand the potential consequences his chosen policies might have elsewhere on his business and others.

President Trump’s travel ban targeting nationals of seven Muslim-majority countries may not have held up in court, but it appears quite successful at keeping plenty of other people out of the United States.

Trump’s order brought with it a swift decline in the number of worldwide tourists and travelers looking to visit the United States, say people in the tourism industry. Some say it could be as damaging to the US tourism sector as the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks.

“The US is in danger of taking the same path it took after Sept. 11, which led to a decade of economic stagnation in the travel and tourism sector,” said David Scowsill, president and CEO of the World Travel & Tourism Council. “Strict visa policies and inward-looking sentiment led to a $600 billion loss in tourism revenues in the decade post 9/11.”

Heckuva job, Brownie.
