On track for what? To have the wave they're going to have to have things like happened in Georgia to happen. That's less likely now. All could change in 6 months, but the Republicans aren't fielding "Todd Akin's" again and the President's support among the base never wavers. They learned from Georgia. What did/do the Democrats ever learn?

Oh, that's part of the prophecy? Ok. That prophecy stuff is Wild. I dated a Jehovah's Witness once. Their take on Revelation is pretty wild. This must be the Evangelicals take. Maybe I should read it and publish my own interpretation.

I am hardly the expert but yeah. Some of the Sects are just crazy about Revelations. David Koresh took power of the Branch Davidians (an offshoot of the Seven Day Adventists) due to his interpretation of Revelations. His standoff was seen by him and his followers (apparently) as the Battle that would bring about the opening of the Fifth Seal.

I dunno I guess if I was God and I was all knowing and all powerful I would need holy war...or faith in me at all...but what do I know?

I guess I do. Does that mean I'm worm food? Or Purgatory? Maybe hell? Hot lava and pitchforks?

Everything required for Armageddon already happened in like the 2nd century AD. Last I checked, we're still here and Jesus isn't.

Everything was supposed to happen in the generation of the Disciples, circa 50 AD. You know those crank preachers who predict The End of the World every few years and then redo the math when it doesn't happen? The Church Fathers were just more of those guys. In fact, they themselves were just following a millenia-long tradition of predicting the return of the Jewish Messiah. That was how Jesus got confused with The Christ in the first place.

We're not in year 2000 of lousy Christian predictions. We're in year 3000 of lousy Jewish predictions.

I assume the Jews started out just cobbling together Enûma Eliš myths and we're in year 6000 of lousy Babylonian predictions.

tl; dr of religion:

There's nobody coming back since, you know, there's nowhere to come back from.
