This. The RWNJ pundits on FAUX News are hardly stupid. trump on the other hand is. He's is intellectually stunted and has the emotional maturity of a 12 year old. Or maybe a 10 year old. But someone like Limbaugh or O'Reilly is plenty savvy enough to understand what the effects are of their commentary and how to push the right buttons to keep the masses afraid. These guys are at best driven by pure greed and at the worst are actually evil. trump is stupid, dangerous and for the most part a bad dude, but I have felt all along the real evil ones are those who allowed and even created an environment that opened the door to elect someone like trump. trump is too stupid to realize why he's bad for America and the world and truly dangerous. The FAUX News talking heads and plenty of other media people are the real villains.

They definitely do it "on purpose," but a dog eats its poop on purpose too.

I don't watch those derps enough to determine whether they're con men or morons. I should not have included Rush in my list: he has always struck me as a carnival barker who if there had been one more dollar on the left rather than the right would have switched sides faster than Ed Schultz.

Con Men. They're not morons. That's why I think if you have the high Charisma score you might as well go right cause you can make a lot of money doing it. Doing it from the left like Maher and Maddow is way way way way harder.

The environment never wins.

For its latest attack on the environment, the Trump administration is planning to roll back vehicle emissions standards, giving a gift to car manufacturers and crippling a central part of President Obama’s attempt to fight climate change, the New York Times reports.

The Corporate Average Fuel Economy, or CAFE, standards call for new cars and trucks to average about 36 miles per gallon by 2025. EPA projections suggest that the rules, if fully implemented, would have a major effect on greenhouse gas emissions, cutting carbon dioxide pollution by 6 billion tons and reducing oil consumption by 12 billion barrels.

But the auto industry doesn’t like the rules, and President Trump has made no secret of his own animosity. A year ago, while speaking at an auto plant in Detroit, he announced a review of what he called the “job-crushing” and “industry-killing regulations.” With the rules locked in through 2021, Trump’s EPA, led by the climate-change skeptic Scott Pruitt, is still able to alter to the emissions targets for 2022 through 2025. And next week, at a Chevrolet dealership outside of Washington, Pruitt is expected to announce his intention to do just that.

You won't hear me whine at all. It is what I want. Pull out of Afghanistan and Iraq, too. And Somalia and Syria and South Sudan and Yemen (shhh, those are just "advisors"...).

That's a parade we can have; when the last US solider leaves the last warzone and we are at peace.

And then cut the military budget by 70%.

Glad we can be in agreement on the whole MEA invasion stuff. Think we could reach a deal on some of that military budget going towards improving quality of the VA Hospitals (or insurance geared towards those who served; I'm not too keen on the whole socialized medicine thing but we do have to keep the word of whomever thought that was a good idea) and maybe towards helping to combat PTSD? Hopefully not nearly as much as what the budget is now.

Any coloring books and Play-Doh left over that we could give to Lockheed Martin in response to their impending whining? :p

She should've tried that with her donations to Trump. Something tells me she wouldn't be in the same position she is now.

Medical care for veterans should be handled by the VA until we finally grow up and go to single payer. I don't want a dollar of non-military spending going to the War Department (which we ought to rename it). Don't give them a chance to launder any important dollars.

How did VA care go from taking care of people who decided to put their lives on the line for our country to socialized medicine???

That is a total stretch. Should be part of the cost of having an army and fighting a war. If someone is willing to do that, they should get some kind of care for the rest of their lives instead of just accepting that we cheer them at sporting events. Our we have socialized defense, anyway.

Just "saying" thanks isn't good enough for them, IMHO. The whole idea of calling socialized medicine only comes from those who think we should do that. And I've not actually heard any logical reason why we should not have socialized medicine, anyway- since many capitalist countries ALSO have socialized medicine. It's good for national security and good for people wanting to take a risk on a small business.

All labeling it socialized medicine does is make sure that the people who can afford the tax burden don't pay it.
