POTUS 45.3 - Bowling Green Massacre Memorial Thread

Re: POTUS 45.3 - Bowling Green Massacre Memorial Thread

You seem determined, by name-calling and insult, to pick a fight with me.

I was born and raised in North Dakota. I attended the University of North Dakota. I am an avid follower of North Dakota college hockey. I even owned, for a year, a pea green colored Ford Maverick. Insults are not exactly unknown to me. You want to make me angry and get me to quit, like Bob Gray or Armadillo? Bring a lunch.

If you choose to waste a few precious hours to review my posting history, something I strongly counsel against, you're going to struggle to find any posts on the subjects you mention. I think I may have scoffed at the idea that Clinton was the most qualified candidate in our history, or reminded people that she and her husband had no qualms about using the Presidency to advance their personal position and wealth, something obviously not unique. But I don't think you're going to find much in the way of me criticizing HRC, or even those who said they would vote for her. You certainly aren't going to find posts where I endorsed Trump or his policies. But then, as shown in your post, you really don't care or recall what I posted.

No, it appears my "mistake" was I had the temerity to post my decision that I couldn't vote for either Trump or Clinton. Rather than simply disagree, but respect my decision as my right as a citizen, some of you chose to use it to project onto me certain beliefs, credos or thoughts. C'est la vie. In reality those projections say nothing about me, but speak volumes about you.

As for me being the cause of this mess, as you characterize it, I have no problem sleeping. I voted third party in a state that went for Clinton.

So, I do get to laugh, and will continue to do so.

SJ, I know the feeling. My difference? I explained why I had a hard spot with Clinton --> the private email server. And I'm pointing out the same issue, and calling for the noose they made, with the Trump administration on the use of unsecured devices. Oh, and I abstained from voting in a state that went 2:1 "red".

The point is, you don't get to laugh at the joke when you're one of the ****wads that put us in this mess.

I know a couple small town ND "John Birchers".
I'm pretty sure that's a direct quote of them from about 96 months ago.
OK, maybe not direct; you have better grammar (and they use "MFers" as their insult of choice).

Re: POTUS 45.3 - Bowling Green Massacre Memorial Thread

It's that Republicans will go along with him to accomplish their agenda that's scary.

You mean the Republicans that are backpedaling faster than a DB across from Cliff Branch on a fly route*.

The Congressional Rs are already saying they aren't ready with a replacement for Obamacare and are not going to act on tax cuts for a while. That's not going along with Trump.

Somebody pass the popcorn; it's gonna get good.

*An old school reference there for everyone. Look it up. ;)

Cliff Branch was awesome, but I'm more of a Mel Grey man myself.

ACA means nothing. The agenda is the tax code. The GOP exists for one purpose: make the rich richer. Everything else is a loss leader.

Everything else is a loss leader.

You misspelled something in there. You spelled it "loss leader". It's spelled "distraction".
But they have a bonus; they have the ultimate distracter running point for them at 1600 Penn.

And I have no problem owning whatever Obama did in office. You don't seem to be able to do the same.

He's not mine to own. He's not Hovey's either.

However, as Americans, our President is our President. From that perspective, we all own the good and the bad. From all 45, past and present.

Imagine the wingnut chitstorm if Obama had used his oval office podium to publicly attack the kid who smacked Malia in the face with a dodgeball during gym class.

Did Michelle want the kid to eat healthy because then she deserved it according to the Right.

Think about that...Michelle plants a garden and wants kids to get exercise and not eat crap all the time and she is an authoritarian gorilla out to restrict freedoms! Trump threatens Sherrifs and Federal Judges and his party restricts speech (and votes) and nary a word..

On a more equal basis- the current FLOTUS whines and complains and then SUES over people saying bad things about her- since it will cost her money. Geezus.

For that comparison, trying to say that President Obama so much over stretched his bounds on EO when he accepted when state courts took issue whit them when don just goes out and attacks the same judges for doing the same thing- that just kills me.

If you state yourself as being a cheerleader for a particular person, then it is your prerogative you would own it. However, to assume that casting a vote for a particular person insinuates the same, on account of your own personal experience, would be quite incorrect. It is our duty, as Americans, to audit the leadership of ALL of our elected representatives, regardless of our support for either the person or the party. Welcome to American citizenship, where a government by the people means responsibility by people to keep it.

This. So much this.

We all have to accept the consequences of him being president, but only some of us are responsible for them.
