It's fine to read popular authors -- I love Barbara Tuchman, who is an amateur. Just don't mistake them for scholars.

Explain if I'm wrong here, but I find it hard to compare politics back then to what it is now, even though the mud-raking is pretty much the same, although on a grander scale.....I would think it's much more difficult to rise through the ranks nowadays given all the media coverage...

Reports tonight say nunes altered the classified material to show the White House, and the committee didn’t approve the edited memo.

I’m shocked, I tell you.
Even a GOP rep today said nunes is acting like trumps reelection campaign manager

Well if I wanted to hide some illegal activity, there’s no one I’d trust more than hope hicks! And don jr. some of the brightest minds around!

It's pretty sad when the American version of House Of Cards is more realistic than the real world version of US politics.
