The Trump administration has waived part of the punishment for five megabanks whose affiliates were convicted and fined for manipulating global interest rates. One of the Trump administration waivers was granted to Deutsche Bank — which is owed at least $130 million by President Donald Trump and his business empire, and has also been fined for its role in a Russian money laundering scheme.

The waivers were issued in a little-noticed announcement published in the Federal Register during the Christmas holiday week. They come less than two years after then-candidate Trump promised “I'm not going to let Wall Street get away with murder.”

Trump just held his first cabinet meeting of 2018. First words: "Welcome back to the studio."

Then he goes on talking about his ratings from yesterday.

Followed by a commitment to 'rewrite Libel laws in the US.' “You can't say things that are knowingly false and smile as money pours into your bank account.” https://t.co/G9weZ6rWNG

Hahaha. Meanwhile, how are those coal jobs going, Pennsylvania and Ohio? What, you mean things like up-ing the estate tax exemption and changing libel laws help Trump and do nothing for you? The hell you say!

I love that those keys are on opposite sides of completely different rows on the keyboard. They are, however, right next to each other on Dvorak.

Are meetings like yesterday's required to have official (government) transcripts, or minutes, or just meeting notes, or just a summary record?

If it's official transcript, yeah, that's a problem. If it's one of the others, it's much ado.
