POTUS 45.21 STAND for our great National Anthem

Re: POTUS 45.21 STAND for our great National Anthem

Right now, most people don't really even feel like they pay taxes because they never see the money. All they want to know is "what'll I get back" in the spring, like it's some sort of gift from the government.

I've long said if withholding was to a private account in your name (or non-existent*) and if you had to actually write a check to "United States Treasury" every April things would be different.

*That'll never happen. The government wouldn't get any money in that scenario. Nobody'd have the money to cut the check. Americans have forgotten how to budget and save.

Of course, that should have been obvious. They probably balance out in other places too. I think stuff like clothing is exempt from sales tax in MN.

Yes. I believe if it deemed a necessity (pretty sure it goes for some basic foodstuffs, also), there is no sales tax.

There has to be some crossover between people who wanted an "outsider" and people who also knew Stein was a vote into a black hole.

It's been almost a year and Rover is still obsessed with Hillary. Did William Jennings Bryan supporters go on and on like this back in the day? It's like going on and on about the 90's Bills.

The supporters of Sam Tilden, Al Gore and HRC still argue over what if.

It’s a different topic. TX pays no state tax, so they’re paying a much larger share of federal taxes than Californians who appear to be ducking out of about 13%.

So Texans take the deduction for state sales and property taxes instead.

Just watched Senator Susan Collins’ press conference where she announced she was not going to run for governor of Maine and will remaine in the Senate.

The electorate may be learning.

As you know job approval means nothing. It doesnt matter if his job approval plummets in Tennessee, Mississippi, Kentucky, Kansas and Indiana (which were highlighted in he story) because there is a .0001% chance that if he is the GOP candidate those states dont go for him. They dont have to like the job he is doing, they are not voting Democrat and that is the only thing that matters.

When Dems tout stuff like this it reminds me of when Red Sox fans around here in the late 90s/early 2000s would brag that the Saux spent more time leading the division than the Yanks. Of course the Yanks won the division and often the World Series but **** if the Saux fans didnt think their little stat mattered!

Trump will declare that a victory ;)

Yeah, like all those people like you who thought the last election was a lock. Now we have toddler boy running things.

I never said the last election was a lock. Pick that bone with Rover.

Re: POTUS 45.21 STAND for our great National Anthem

Will he? I was thinking he would be annoyed because with her gone, he might have a chance to get his repeal and replace through.

Trump declares everything a victory ;)

And Kep, one doesnt have to see the future to know this doesnt matter. His approval ratings could crater in every Red State they arent flipping and you know that.

Not sure. I'd have to think odds are that her replacement would be more likely to be of the mind set or more liberal rather than more conservative. Not too sure if you would get a Trump foot solder in a replacement.
