Re: POTUS 45.21 STAND for our great National Anthem

Serious question, wasn’t it known from Day 1 that the Russian file resulted from paid oppo research by the Dems? Why is it back in the headlines?

Well you see, the Trump campaign colluded with Russia and the Hillary campaign paid someone to investigate that collusion, so both sides are bad, vote Republican.

Because tRump/his entourage is a master manipulator of the media* and he has a pathologic need to do anything but what he was elected for- lead and govern.

*obviously we aren't supposed to be paying attention to the drip drip drip of the GOP unfaithful telling it like it is.

I feel like I am back in England reading the scandal rags or the Enquirer only people actually believe this stuff. He-who-must-not-be-quoted is the almost daily reality check that people believe this stuff. Sad statement about the critical thinking skills of this country.

Uh, not quite.

She literally almost died from those burns.
Didn't she put a flexible Styrofoam cup between her legs and start driving?

Re: POTUS 45.21 STAND for our great National Anthem

Trump won't take responsibility for Puerto Rico.

FYP. But not because you are wrong, just adding another part of the lack of responsibility our "leader" wants to take.

I'm keeping closer tabs than most here, because of relatives. And while there are a lot of people doing quite well, there are STILL more people who are not. As of today, ONLY 25% of the population have power. It's been well over a month. Only 75% have water. If this was going on in Texas or Florida, it would be a much bigger deal for us. Instead of more people trying to get power to the island, there are investigations why it's taking so long. Relative to the population, the military presence isn't there. Relative to the need, the helicopter presence isn't there. Heck, I'm sure there are more than enough heavy lifting 'copters in the military arsenal to really speed up the infrastructure rebuilding. But other than throwing some money down there, our government isn't adding anything.

They don't need money as much as help getting things back up and running.

And I know that the USVI is suffering just as badly, but ignored even more.

So it's no surprise that dump does not take responsibility for Niger. He doesn't take responsibility for his own country.

I thought the EXACT same thing.

Like most of us have done one time or another and her car didn’t have cup holders. Besides, it doesn’t excuse McDonalds for almost killing her.

She also was not the first who was severely burnt by McD coffee, and she wasn't asking for anything more than covering her very expensive medical costs. The burns were that bad.

It's not as if the coffee needs to be serves that hot. If it burns you skin that badly, you can't exactly drink it.

The story is that Hillary and the dems denied being involved when that obviously wasn't the case. They've lost a lot of credibility and whatever moral high ground they had before. I don't think they did anything illegal, but its very unsavory and just because this nonsense has become normal in recent times doesn't mean it should be. We need to get back to talking about the issues and not what someone might have said or did 30 years ago. I think it discourages a lot of decent people from running.

Re: POTUS 45.21 STAND for our great National Anthem

something intended to be consumed should not be served so hot that if you spill it on yourself it could kill you

Hell, at work we insulate anything over something like 120-140 degF or barricade it off for safety. Her coffee was over 180 degF.

And McDonald's wasn't for delivering a consumable good that could cause third degree burns within two seconds?

The car was parked, she was in the passenger seat, in a car with no cup holders. Plus, she only wanted about $20000 at first for past and anticipated medical expenses, and McDonald's offered $800. I have no issue with what she did.

Re: POTUS 45.21 STAND for our great National Anthem

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liebeck_v._McDonald's_Restaurants
Liebeck's attorneys argued that, at 180–190 °F (82–88 °C), McDonald's coffee was defective, claiming it was too hot and more likely to cause serious injury than coffee served at any other establishment.
Liebeck was taken to the hospital, where it was determined that she had suffered third-degree burns on six percent of her skin and lesser burns over sixteen percent. She remained in the hospital for eight days while she underwent skin grafting. During this period, Liebeck lost 20 pounds (9 kg, nearly 20% of her body weight), reducing her to 83 pounds (38 kg). After the hospital stay, Liebeck needed care for 3 weeks, which was provided by her daughter.[12] Liebeck suffered permanent disfigurement after the incident and was partially disabled for two years.[13][14]

Pre-trial Liebeck sought to settle with McDonald's for $20,000 to cover her actual and anticipated expenses. Her past medical expenses were $10,500; her anticipated future medical expenses were approximately $2,500; and her daughter's[12] loss of income was approximately $5,000 for a total of approximately $18,000.[15] Instead, the company offered only $800.
During the case, Liebeck's attorneys discovered that McDonald's required franchisees to hold coffee at 180–190 °F (82–88 °C). At 190 °F (88 °C), the coffee would cause a third-degree burn in two to seven seconds. Liebeck's attorney argued that coffee should never be served hotter than 140 °F (60 °C), ...
McDonald's claimed that the reason for serving such hot coffee in its drive-through windows was that those who purchased the coffee typically were commuters who wanted to drive a distance with the coffee; the high initial temperature would keep the coffee hot during the trip. However, the company's own research showed that some customers intend to consume the coffee immediately while driving.
Other documents obtained from McDonald's showed that from 1982 to 1992 the company had received more than 700 reports of people burned by McDonald's coffee to varying degrees of severity, and had settled claims arising from scalding injuries for more than $500,000.
McDonalds did a lot to try and paint Liebeck in the wrong.

Also, this ties into the discussion earlier about Wells Fargo. Here, Liebeck was only asking for medical expenses to be covered (the cost of having a fraudulent checking/credit card account opened), and future health concerns disregarded (damage to credit score). McDonalds responds with "here's $800, pound sand." (Wells Fargo responds with "¯\_(ツ)_/¯ We'll try not to fu** you so obviously next time.")

Because Dump opened his fat face and talked about it so the media has run with it. Since his voters are some of the biggest morons around they cant see the difference between the two things. Remember they still think Obama is going to steal their guns AND illegally wire tapped Dump.

Re: POTUS 45.21 STAND for our great National Anthem

And just remember, the Ford Motor Company accountants AND lawyers decided it was cheaper for the automaker to settle with families who were killed because of their rolling death trap Pinto than to actually recall the car.

Re: POTUS 45.21 STAND for our great National Anthem

Yesterday, Trump finally mentioned the attack when a reporter asked whether the president had authorized the mission.

TRUMP: No, I didn’t. Not specifically. But I have generals that are great generals. These are great fighters. These are warriors and –

REPORTER: You gave them authority to do this mission.

TRUMP: I gave them authority to do what’s right so that we win. That’s the authority they have…. My generals and my military, they have decision-making ability. As far as the incident that we’re talking about, I’ve been seeing it just like you’ve been seeing it. I’ve been getting reports. They have to meet the enemy and they meet them tough, and that’s what happens.

Nice country.

It almost killed her. Do you understand the difference between a burnt mouth and third degree burns in two seconds?
