Re: POTUS 45.2 - Same arguments, different sides

Sadly, it seems like you guys are right about the DeVos vote. Last hope to flip is Pat Toomey, who received a $50K donation from the DeVos family.

Trump just described Frederick Douglass as "someone who has done a terrific job that is being recognized by more and more people."

So a) clearly he has no idea who he is and b) he's going to be ****ed when he learns what Douglass' last three pieces of advice were.

Re: POTUS 45.2 - Same arguments, different sides

an amusing observation-

I looked up the threads for President Obama- for the most part, it was roughly 1000 posts/month.

So far, for Trump- it's close to 1000/week, if not a lot faster.

Interesting.

I'm laughing at his "someone who has done a terrific job", like he's still alive and ran a project or something.

Tillerson is Secretary of State.

We can start drilling the National Parks and the Arctic Ocean now. Get busy.

"Never trust whitey!"?
"Let's lynch the landlord!"?
"Read a book!"?

I'm not sure which would make Trump more uncomfortable.

"You're doin' a heckuva job, brownie!"

Good news for Drew, we're expanding the gun rights of crazy people, woohoo!

http://www.vox.com/energy-and-environment/2017/2/1/14459630/congressional-review-act-obama-regs

Also, creating a couple mining jobs while making it ok to then poison the miners, but at least they'll have a job.

That's a really bizarre procedural tool:

Congressional Review Act, which allows the House and Senate to nullify any recently finalized federal regulation by a simple majority vote in both chambers — so long as the president agrees.

The f-ck is that there for? My objection isn't so much the Republicans in this Congress for using it (it's dirty, but it's legal-dirty, and that's politics baby) as with whatever genius created it in 1996. The f-ck, people?

Re: POTUS 45.2 - Same arguments, different sides

LOL. We've read your other 202 posts, son. They all just accidentally line up behind one party.

But it is a sign of the moral decrepitude of the right that even as they march in lockstep along the party line, they refuse to admit what they are.
Did you mean lockstep or goose step?

It was part of the Contract with America, if you need a hint.

Well, there's a shock.

I sure am glad the terrorists can't travel here anymore.

For Syrian Girl in Need of Medical Care, Trump’s Travel Ban Adds to a Nomadic Tragedy. BARCELONA, Spain — President Trump’s travel ban disrupted the plans of hundreds of people around the globe, but perhaps none more vulnerable than Sham Aldaher, an infant Syrian refugee girl, and her family.

Sham was born without an eye and with a seriously disfigured face. Following two complex operations at a Barcelona hospital, Sham is due to receive an eye prosthesis next Wednesday. Her family had then planned to resettle in the United States.

Bye FreshFish, er, Armadillo... :p

I know Dillo personally...lay off him he is an actual libertarian. He is far from a Trumper.

That said Dillo you are wrong here. The Dems played it within the rules and now the GOP is trying to change the rules cause they dont like it. That is never ok.
