Re: POTUS 45.2 - Same arguments, different sides

If you want parkland so bad, you have Mirror Lake State park right next to it.

[/Tongue firmly planted in cheek]

For a small State Park, Mirror Lake is very cool. A good answer to the plastic crapshow that is the Dells.

It could be a Canary Trap or fake EOs just to rile up the left into protesting to protect our rights and heritage.

Yeah, hurr, what funny people those liberals are...

At least we know how Republican voters will react to Bannon's 2019 Nuremberg Race Laws. "Look at those funny *******s getting so bent out of shape, hurr hurr!"

Re: POTUS 45.2 - Same arguments, different sides

I'm pretty sure that EVERY. single. Senator we have is a lying piece of hypocritical garbage. Not a single one of them should open their mouths to whine about obstructionism or "mandates" ever again. The fact that we don't have a single example of human decency in our national leadership is a big part of the problems we have with partisan division in every level of society.

Re: POTUS 45.2 - Same arguments, different sides

Apparently Trump is considering meeting with some of the top gang members in Chicago in a bid to reduce violence. They've actually approached him about a meeting.

Onion?

CBS Chicago.

The founder and pastor of a megachurch in Ohio told President Donald Trump he has spoken to gang leaders in Chicago who want to work with the White House to reduce violent crime.

Dr. Darrell Scott, senior pastor of New Revival Center in Cleveland Heights, Ohio, was a guest of Trump’s at an African-American History Month meeting at the White House, and claimed he was “contacted by some of the top gang thugs in Chicago for a sit-down.”

Taking a swipe at former President Obama, who began his political career as a community organizer in Chicago, Scott said the gangs “want to work with the administration … they believe in this administration; they didn’t believe in the prior administration. They told me this outta their mouth.”

“They reached out to me, because they’re associating me with you. They respect you. They believe in what you’re doing, and they want to have a sit-down about lowering that body count. So in a couple weeks, I’m going into Chicago,” Scott said. “I said we’ve got to lower that body count. We don’t want to talk about anything else; get that body count down, and they agreed that the principals that can do it – these are guys straight from the streets, no politicians, straight street guys – but they’re going to commit that if they lower that body count, we’ll come in and we’ll do some social programs.”

Re: POTUS 45.2 - Same arguments, different sides

This smells of a ploy straight out of Jesse Jackson's playbook.

Scott is going to ask for money for programs to help these troubled youths get on the straight and narrow. He'll skim off the top (likely half or more) as management of these programs and the rest will trickle into Chicagoland to each hood under the guise of improvement projects.

It's so great to see that Pastor Darrell Scott wants to help spearhead this coalition. It's really bringing all the colorful representation of Chicago to the forefront.

It's a Rainbow Coalition, if you will...

This is a good idea. He should go alone for, you know, security reasons.

Re: POTUS 45.2 - Same arguments, different sides

Simple. Pence cuts a deal for the gangs like he did for Carrier. Declare victory.

Re: POTUS 45.2 - Same arguments, different sides

Any chance at all that we see Trump standing on a fountain or something in Chicago, shouting "Can you dig it", doing his best Cyrus imitation? Cause I'll actually watch that.

Overhead at universities on grants is close to 50%.

He's got some great puzzy-grabbing rap material.

Re: POTUS 45.2 - Same arguments, different sides

"Get out of my country"

This is what you now own if you helped put Trump in power. Don't tell me you're not a racist.

It doesn't really matter if they are or aren't. They're in power and no ones going to care. The people that do care can't be bothered to vote.

Franken got steamrolled by Cornyn and Cruz in the Sessions hearings. Hearings in which he did his job and it didn't matter.
