Next time you get stopped for plowing through a red light or caught exercising a five-fingered discount, explain to the cop you didn't think you were compelled to behave a certain way or knew of any penalties for doing what you did and see how far that gets you.

Sherlock, you have problems. Scooby made a post that Francis Scott Key is being "investigated" because he advocated an African homeland for slaves. My reply should have triggered something that if FSK is being checked out, you may as well as investigate Abe. The absurdity of purity of thought these days is revolting. You should all inhabit Talos IV.

Then, Sherlock, you ignored my follow up post on the law on the proper behavior when the National Anthem is played.

Get a paper bag and breathe in and out a few times. It will calm you down.

An NFL owner reached out to The Daily Caller Monday night to express his extreme displeasure with players protesting the national anthem.

“I am *********g livid right now. I see this s**t and I lose my mind. It needs to end immediately,” the owner stated during the brief phone conversation on background Monday.

What a brave stance for one of the owners to take in this issue...
To be clear, the owner we spoke with is a shareholder of the Green Bay Packers. We feel this makes him uniquely qualified to put his finger on the pulse of everyday Americans, as opposed to possibly out of touch billionaires that own other NFL franchises.

Hey, the good cops have to start snitching too, on the bad ones. It has to start somewhere. To change this whole friggin' thing, it's gonna get even worse before it gets better. The foundation is trust and good relations. Who's brave enough to take that first step? There have been a few shootings in the Twin Cities and I often see "uncooperative witnesses," and such. Well, violence is going to keep happening then.

And the same goes for the bad cops. Note: some blame the union stance. Well, you really think some San Fran cop is going to know all the details of a bad cop in Charleston? Doubt it. So the union will generally side with their own. Not saying it's right, but when in doubt, and don't have the facts, you won't stray.

Packers shareholders are just anyone who bought public stock in the team though right? So basically it's just some ordinary citizen/idiot from Green Bay (like Carl Gerbschmidt...)? Or is this one of the actual shareholders of the team?

Correct. They have no real power. It's an ego-boost to say you're a partial owner of an NFL team.

Leave the anthem out of it. Personally for me, it's insulting to your country and the people who served it. Not saying you CAN'T, you have that right. I am saying you shouldn't.

Don't block highways/roads. It does make people start to not listen to you. Takes away from your message.

Be LOUD. Shout, scream, get signage. Be precise in what you're protesting. However, don't shout AT people. Shout ABOUT people. You get in someone's face, they will stop listening.

I don't condone this, but IF you are going to go the whole nine yards and end up getting arrested, accept the consequences. You knew the risks. Accept responsibility. And by the way, that will earn you credit for standing for what you believe in.

I know this genius. He voted for Scott Walker, Donald Trump, and Ron Johnson. and against every school referendum he's ever seen. He wears sleeveless t's and his belly button points down.

Participating in a respectful silent protest during the national anthem in no way insults those that served.

What insults those that served us this over the top fake patriotic bull****.

To me, it does insult. To you, it doesn't, so be it. And the fact that we CAN have this discussion, and CAN stand/kneel, is a credit to those people who fought for that right.

You can say that again. Back in 2015, the DoD spent $53 Million on contracts with pro sports teams to *pay* for the National Anthem "patriotic bullsh**" that takes place.

And, for almost two decades, almost all branches allocated "recruitment" money into sponsorship of various NASCAR race cars and teams. Even low level Craftsman Truck/Busch Grand National sponsorship was $5 to $10 Mil per car in the mid 2000's.

But boy, did they ever make it feel organic and true, making a tear come to your eye when you saw Petty Officer John Doe, fresh off his two tours of a middle eastern desert, standing proudly in his crisp fatigues, waving from mid-field just before a washed up local "opera" singer bellows the Anthem.
