Nothing regarding the sheer incompetence of this career huckster needs to be embellished. He should've been in prison 25 years ago for tax evasion and fraud - he got off thanks to an army of friendly accountants and lawyers who could only see the dollar signs in keeping Trump's brand of grift and lawsuits around for steady paychecks.

In a perfect world, we would be remembering him today only as a poster child for what not to do with one's career; a Harvard Business Review Case studied in Finance 101 about what happens when you issue junk debt with a personal guarantee; a real-life Gordon Gekko/J.R. Ewing; a cautionary tale of what happens when a cold, overbearing, abusive father smothers his chosen heir to the point that his mother has little to no hand in raising him.

Instead, we're stuck with him in the Oval, and some of our children are being raised to idolize him.

I don't like the guy and didn't vote for him, but I'm not wild about Clinton's emails either.

It would be interesting (and impossible) to know what percentage of people over the age of 30 read any book that was previously assigned to them in a high school class. My guess is 1 in 10,000.

If you include English courses, I've reread a number of books assigned back in high school and even college. Then it was for consuming the content to get a score on a test, while now it's been for truly assimilating the information in them or really paying attention to their stories.

(Yes, I'm that far behind on this thread because I've, for some inexplicable reason, had a social life for the past five days.)

I've been told, correctly, re-read books as you're older. The book hasn't changed, but your perspective has. And it's truth.

Not sure how you do that. By nature I think antifa groups are decentralized to say the least. It would be good for groups to start taking non-violence pledges. The right will still lie about them of course (see BLM; see MLK for that matter) but it would help.
