Those who called me on the comment that Trump does not need to go are right. There are enough places in the world, including some not called N. Korea or China, where things can go very wrong. And with the Child King in the WH, we could be the biggest, dumbest bully in the school yard. I was wrong: he has to go.

Sorry burd, but Dump has to go. We need a leveler head in the Oval Office, even if that person is 'lawful evil' Pence. You could argue that Kelly will keep Dump in check, but so far there's little evidence that he has much of any sway over the guy when it comes to major decision-making. Plus, the way Dump operates, we know Kelly could be fired by the end of next week if he so desires.

Domestically, I agree, Scooby. But in foreign policy matters, he presents a risk of suffering that far exceeds what anyone deserves.

As a non-voter, for me it wasn't teaching a lesson or to prove a point. I found no suitable candidate. I cannot speak for the other non-voters, though. I do have an issue of keeping an incompetent fool that is damaging this country, just to prove a point.

Yes. I thought BEST case, NOTHING would get done, b/c the rest of the gub'ment would stop him (and this has mostly been true, see the health care fiasco). However, with all this other shyte going on, he needs to go. Just make sure there is no loophole. That's the main thing.

Would be really fascinating if, after the impeachment is taken care of and he's out of power, Mueller was able to hand off the financial evidence he's gathered to a federal prosecutor for possible bribery, money laundering, fraud, etc. criminal charges. There are a lot of retired DAs in Jersey who would love to see someone finally get The Donald, 25 years after they were grudgingly forced to conclude his nose was clean during that first bankruptcy.

But, I'll set the fantasies aside for now, and settle for kicking him out of office. Of course, there will be the usual impotent calls for an American Beer Hall Putsch from some dank, fetid corners of the country, but I wouldn't worry too much about it.

It looks like you're praying there is a smoking gun somewhere.

If tD is deposed simply because he is unpopular/incompetent, then you have the 1st American Coup d'etat. Is that what you REALLY want? Is your hate of tD so great that you're willing to knock the Republic for a loop and ignite a powderkeg?

This country has survived bad presidents before. We've remedied the situation in the ballot box 4 years later. Don't change it.

Oh no, Donnie definitely needs to be impeached for cause - whether it's obstruction, bribery, treason/collusion with foreign powers - there must be a good case. Otherwise, it is just a soft form of a coup. While impeachment is inherently a political matter, high crimes and misdemeanors which call POTUS' judgement and leadership into question must be committed for it to be legitimately invoked. Incompetence is not a crime.

What I was saying is, once he's out, it will be interesting to see if they pursue criminal charges based on the evidence at hand, or decide to let it go.

The only other path is Article 25, and frankly, I think it would set a bad precedent to try and use that against a sitting POTUS purely on the grounds of incompetence. He'd need to be diagnosed with an incurable illness that renders him mentally incapable of performing the duties of the office for that to be a legit route, I should think.

I can't believe anyone thinks there is a legitimate question as to whether or not they will let it go. Of COURSE they'll let it go. Neither trump or members of his family are going to be charged with any crimes. The rich and powerful may occasionally disagree with each other on a couple of political issues here or there but they don't turn on their own like that.

THis is untrue. tRump has has done a lot to destabilize healthcare. So far we have had all his flip flopping, threatening to not reimburse insurance co, ordering not to pursue those who do not follow the regs, encouraging the defunding of PP in a number of states, threatening those who do want to move forward and be bipartisan and much more. There may not be an actual new law but he has been exceedingly disruptive and has encouraged others to be the same. The insurance co have no idea how to plan for anything because they have no idea what will be enforced, what will change. Healthcare is a large part of every state budget, the same for businesses. No one has a clue how to be prepared for the next yr. There could be a huge cut in Fed funds, changes in the law, regs, etc. You can't budget or predict risk if you aren't sure what is required.

Considering we have never had someone as incompetent, been in a situation where one person could single-handedly do so much harm in so many arenas for personal profit... I would say waiting to remedy something if there is a legal way to fix it would be very wrong and disastrous if we still want a country that resembles what we had before he arrived
