Bernie is a Socialist...that alone would have destroyed him. (this country isnt ready for that)

Biden is a gaff machine. I love the guy but he and Trump in a debate would have been horrid.

Bernie being a socialist wouldn't have been that big of a deal, most people want some form of single payer anyhow and the dems are moving closer to that. He also could've easily played to peoples' anger who lost their homes due to the financial crisis and actually showed some interest in prosecuting those responsible rather than making their lives easier like Hillary's husband did.

Biden would've easily won, it's hard to imagine the debates matter at all when Trump lost all of them horribly.

That is no longer a meaningful statement. A country that elects Trump President is a country that will literally vote for anyone for anything. There are no longer any "bridge too fars." That's just self-sabotage and conditioning to prevent us from giving the country a real choice.

This is clearly the case. Gore (2000), Kerry (2004), Romney (2012), and Hillary (2016) all destroyed their opponents in the debates. The debates don't mean a thing -- smart people already know the stances and dumb people just blat along to whichever spin they are programmed to believe.

Yeah because everything is a f u c k i n g joke to you. trump tweets, the left gets their panties in a bundle, and mouth breathing apologists like you get a chuckle. I guess all I can hope for is when a progressive democrat is the next president and he or she takes a lengthy vacation, be careful making any snide comments while you're eating a sandwich or you may choke on the lettuce or tomato, Karma's a b i t c h, ya know.

Pretty much yeah.

Edit: Thinking back though, Biden did very well in his debates against Palin and Ryan. He has made a few gaffes over the years, but I don't think we should assume he would have lost any of the debates to Trump.

This has been true for a while now. It goes along with the myth of the undecided voter. My belief is the only "undecided" voter is the one who doesn't know if he or she will actually go vote. 90% of the people make up their minds between the r and the d a year before an election, and by the time the conventions roll around 99% know who they are voting for. I don't believe minds change much at all nowadays. The only thing that changes is the motivation to vote.

I think the best any of us can do with the current administration is laugh at the absurdity of it. You and others who are upset with Trump should read the comments Moeen Ali made the other day.

Lewsp post was absolutely bang on in every way. The basic problem is the area as a whole has done an awful job in planning for growth(not a left-right issue.) They take a piece of land, say 20 acres, and instead of building 50 1500 sq ft houses will build six 3500 sq ft houses. There obviously should be some larger houses built, but not every one. It's created a situation where there just aren't many smaller houses and there is obviously a lot of demand for them which increases the prices to crazy levels.

In a lot of ways we have a different issue than NY or SF. In those places there are just tons of people in a small space. For us here I think there is enough space available, it has just been divided in a poor way.

As far as your SIL, you might be surprised. It really depends on the town and how far from the city it is though.

I know I am late but have to chime in. Woburn is no where near normal. It has access not only to 2 major highways but a train hub, bus hub, multiple shopping/grocery places and a number of very stable bigger businesses like USPS sorting ctr etc.

Not only do they build big houses they make no allowances for the students coming into the schools, public safety demands increasing

Deerfield would be closer to average.

Odds on there will also be at least 5 mouthpieces, 2 or more of which will be either a Fox host or on Fox telling us why this is a [fake investigation, witch hunt, Meuller is not impartial/is part of the evil conspiring establishment, this is an effort to overturn the results of the election (which by now we should all chant- HE WON THE POPULAR VOTE!!!)] It is so predictable I think there should be some sort of Bingo sheet to see who can hit first. Of course before I could type that Fox was already working. :D

Lawrence and Lowell have those things as well. It's not a bad town and for some people is in a great location, but it's not Lexington, Weston, etc.

I would think (but unofan or our other lawyers can correct) that you impanel the grand jury once you feel you have accumulated enough evidence to proceed to charges.

Here is a discussion of just that question.

Instead, they convene before any charges have been filed in order to determine whether charges, or an indictment, should be filed. Prosecutors decide whether or not to impanel a grand jury, and they usually only do so when serious felony charges are a possibility.
