Re: POTUS 45.15 - Now With More Yacht Banging Stories!

It's okay though, Sarah Sanders Huckabee lied about Trump's lies:
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/sarah-huckabee-sanders-lies_us_59822da5e4b00f0084add859
As for the leaders of the Boy Scouts of America, Sanders said they “congratulated” and “praised” Trump after his controversial speech at the National Scout Jamboree last week (though the group says this never happened).

Sanders then admitted that no “actual phone calls” took place; rather, they were in-person conversations. When ABC News’ Cecilia Vega indicated that the president lied, Sanders said she “wouldn’t say it was a lie.”

The continued spin of misinformation is exhausting.

Re: POTUS 45.15 - Now With More Yacht Banging Stories!

Is there a difference between debt and unfunded liabilities? I guess you can argue technically there is, but it's all the same in my eyes.

I live in Mass where everything is run by the dems. They have set the state on the path to serious financial issues down the road but it will take a bit of time. I'm not from here and not even registered to vote. I respect local people's right to run the state as they wish, even if I disagree with it.

I think Rover is talking a lot of sense. A lot of the reason that me and likely a lot of people on both sides vote the way they do is because it's in their blood.
I live in Mass and my town is so red it bleeds. There are a few other reddish places nearby. The Blue places have less deficit, better schools, adequate police and fire. My blood red town bragged about it's balanced budget! is 5th from the bottom in per student funding, has a horrible record for hiring enough police and fire (at one point local towns refused mutual aid to us because we called them so often  ) We are proud of our balanced budget and at this point have driven the town into the ground. People still whine about taxes even tho we have some of the lowest. We were doing fairly well until Romney decided to balance the budget before he ran for Prez. The smaller towns have never really recovered from his fake balance the budget act. Neither has education.
So here's something that I found shocking and hard to believe. trump lied when he said the Boy Scouts chief told him his speech at the Boy Scouts Jamboree was the greatest speech that was ever made to them. The worst presidents we've ever suffered through would not bother lying about a speech they gave to boy scouts. That trump feels the need to lie about things like this is alarming. For those of you who think it's much ado about nothing, think about that for a minute. He was speaking to boy scouts. And afterward he chose to lie about it. Boy scouts. Lies. The right can go fvck themselves with a red hot poker as a fitting punishment for their unbridled hypocrisy. I mean the boy scouts for fvck's sake! I'm sorry, if you voted for this 5h!t stain of president that's bad enough. But if you don't think he's pretty much unworthy of being an American, let alone the president after 6 months of this crap, you're a ficking moron.
Didn't fact check but apparently he also said the Mexican Prez praised him in a phone call and the guy tweeted out he was full of sh1t.

And in your daily FB update the imbeciles have now moved on to character assasination of Michelle Obama- she was ashamed of us, sh1t on us and did nothing positive- she is evil, useless, a monkey, a female gorilla with [fill in various physical attributes]. Trying not to respond but it makes me ill that people can be that ignorant. It is killing me not to ask what they would like to say about the tRump females- not sure which is the first lady- because so far I have seen nothing positive outta them. Other than squinting her eyes and looking like she is posing on the runway has the First Lady done anything? Serious question. I haven't seen anything except a few well publicised oops moments

News for you, precious little true believer. They already have won. You stop that by voting.

How friggin' old are you? You look at politics like some 7 year old, expecting it to be all shiny and perfect, or you'll make it shiny and perfect because.........honor?
Jesus, that's infantile. Kep's right, time to become an adult and start acting like one. Don't just take your precious ball and go home cause no candidate makes you all warm and sticky in the nether region.

1972. That was the last time MN voted for a Republican presidential candidate. And I somehow helped Trump win because I didn't vote. Okay, then. Just saying.

It's seriously bad for your health to continue reading this stuff. Just block those people. I blocked them out last year, and when I do check FB it's a much more positive experience. Seriously, even if they're family. If they ask you about some post just say, I don't check FB very often. You won't miss anything worthwhile.

Lil les and I had a conversation about whether not voting was OK awhile ago. Told him IMHO if there wasn't a candidate that met what he thought should happen it was his civic duty to vote for the candidate that would do the least harm after he looked at the things he thought would be affected. As far as I am concerned it is my duty and responsibility as a citizen to help make the best choice even if the choices aren't great. If it comes to it write in is an option. Not voting abdicates that responsibility. If enough people exercise their right to abstain we end up with the total knuckle heads we are seeing. The rabid party extremists vote as told and they take their duty to vote seriously. The people that could help force moderation are at home complaining there is no perfect candidate but not voting allows the crazies to win.

There is never a perfect candidate. The system was set up on all levels to require compromise to work. That goes from the voter needing to settle on the person who is the best out of the crop up to the Legislature needing to compromise to get something passed or the President needing to make concesions to get something he can sign. (they seem to have forgotten this as well and look at the gridlock)

Neither of the candidates this time were OK. Looking at the facts, not just what Faux news told us about him, Trump was the most likely to cause harm (as we are now seeing) when you looked at all the possible areas of impact. So the obious choice was to vote to help avoid having him win.

And if I voted, I would have found some indie candidate to vote for. Not Drumpf or St. Hill. Either way, it wouldn't have mattered, and in this state, it wouldn't have even been close.

Re: POTUS 45.15 - Now With More Yacht Banging Stories!

Not voting is one of the more vulgar shirking of one's duties as a citizen. Being proud of not voting is a slap in the face to people to yearn to live in a society where voting is a foreign concept.

This.
Whenever there's an election, somebody generally wins. The only logical thing for a voter to do is vote for the person he or she finds the least disagreeable. If that vote is actually for someone you agree WITH, all the better. But since you know someone's gonna win, it makes no sense to not vote for anybody. I suppose on the off chance you find both or all of the candidates equally crappy, but really, is that ever gonna come up? I think, for any number of reasons, most of the people who are running for high office represent a lot of things about our society that I object to. But since I also know somebody is going to sit in the house, or the governor's mansion, or in the local sheriff's office, I'm obligated to do my part to either make sure it is the best option, or the least bad option. Now if we had an actual "none of the above" and if NOTA won and we'd have another election with all new names, I could go for that option. But that ain't never gonna happen. So when your next opportunity to vote comes up, hike up your pants, hold your nose if necessary, and vote for the person who offends you the least among those that are likely to win. Not doing so gives us trump in the white house.

Fake news! Fake news! Fake news!

Also, the BSA leadership has been infiltrated by homosexual libs promoting the globalist agenda.

At least, that is what FReepers are saying. ;)

And the underlined is why IF I had voted, it would have been a non-major party candidate. And in MN, wasted vote.

95% of the time mookie writes in his own name. Mookie votes every time. Spring and nov.

Now that is going to be a challenge

I'm ashamed that there is no viable candidate for me; I don't expect perfect. And in this country, I have the right to not vote. It's beautiful. I can vote, or not vote. And I have choices to do any of those things. And I have multiple candidates to choose from, if I so wish. It's great. So, in other words, I'm exercising every right I have by not voting. Some countries don't have that luxury.

I made a sensible comment asking someone to fact check (you know that is against the rules) and now they post tagging me. Every once in awhile I read something so obviously stupid I think the person just doesn't have access to facts. It is more obvious that I am stupid to think these people are capable of cohernet thought or care what is true or not. I really hate my town. Have lived a few places in my life and travelled to quite a few more. Hands down these people are the stupidest, most bigoted (sp), ignorantly arrogant people I have ever been exposed to. Because I read things other than the local news rag controlled by the political hacks and talk to people outside the country I am an elitist snob. (if that mkes me an elitist snob then I want to be one. At least I can think!)

It is kind of like falling off the wagon to think I could make just one person actually think about what they are saying. Back on the wagon again. I have blocked notifications.

Melania is just going through the motions. The divorce proceedings will begin as soon as His Heinousness' rule is over.

I will never blame the First Lady for doing nothing. Not her job. I will give credit to those who go above and beyond. And for that, Michelle Obama gets Kudos. Along with Laura and yes, Hill.

Yes it is. Any normal couple would've had a discussion before running for president, knowing that being the First Lady and doing that job also comes with being elected. That Melania probably wasn't consulted is yet another reason Trump is a colossal *******.

That's pathetic, Brent. Truly.

Being a First Lady is being the Pres' hubby. That's it. Now, many have taken it upon themselves to do more. I applaud them for that. It is above and beyond. They are not required to do that.

It's not, actually. Although many have successfully turned it into an unpaid "job." But I do remember Melania being asked about it and said she asked Don not to run at all. Would that he cared what she thought.
