That party is devoid of any common sense. Any actual governing skills. I imagine there is a few Republican Governors who are successful right now but it's not many. Some of the **** going on in Texas for example is appalling.

Nope and the Head of he Joint Chiefs flat out said as much. I think he even implied they didn talk to the Secretaries either. They were completely blindsided and have no way to implement the ban yet so they are basically changing nothing right now. This is why you cant put an inexperienced person in charge of the military.

Sanders lies about everything. I mean at least Spicer didnt know half the time (they screwed him after he talked) Sanders is presented the evidence and flat out lies. Her daddy must be so proud.

So late last night I found out the my parish priest was "relieved of his duties." A faction of *******s on the Parish Council whined to the head of the Diocese. Not sure what these disagreements were about but it caused him to get fired. All my friends are up in arms. These few parish council guys are literally muscling in and taking over and now one of the best priests in the Diocese is out of a job.

I'm posting this because my good friend who is an avid Trump supporter is livid about this. As a parishioner who grew up with him, she should be, but I'm holding my tongue because the parallels right now with our government are so strong. She makes remarks about all the protests going on against Trump, yet she's leading the charge. And, if the people of our parish stood up to become members of the board rather than be lazy and allow these idiots to come in and take charge, we wouldn't be in this position. Much like the folks who didn't vote in November and allowed these idiots now running our country.

Good read on American Muslims. tl; dr: they're just like American non-Muslims. Shocking. The only significant difference is more of them are immigrants.

This is really interesting. I take it the Parish Council are lay people? Is it elective? And who runs for that kind of thing, the same type of person who runs for high school office?

Huckabee now thinks we should repeal the 17th amendment (direct election of senators). No comment on if he wants a new amendment making it legal for governors' dimwitted sons to kill stray dogs.

This has been a far right wet dream for a long time. The Progressive Era pushed through direct election of Senators because the Senate had just become a graft game played by the .1% Not at all surprising that the GOP would like it to revert to that -- those are their puppetmasters.

I'm amazed the GOP hasn't floated the idea of a minimum property requirement for the franchise, or weighting votes by worth (and of course allowing corporations to vote based on their market capitalization).

Why would anyone be listening to that moron?Was he on FOX? No, it was Twitter. Him and Trump are two peas in a pod.
