there's a good buck in that racket.
"But not the Irish!"
You didn't see they are looking to throw a monkey wrench into brexit??
"But not the Irish!"
This is really interesting. I take it the Parish Council are lay people? Is it elective? And who runs for that kind of thing, the same type of person who runs for high school office?
They are truly a painful thing to sit through.
A group of children at a Unitarian Universalist church school were trying to determine the sex of a rabbit. “There’s only one way to decide,” said one child, “let’s take a vote on it.”
A Unitarian Universalist dies, and on the way to the after-life encounters a fork in the road. The left path has a sign “To Heaven” and the right has a sign “To a Discussion about Heaven” Without pausing, the UU turns right.
This has been a far right wet dream for a long time. The Progressive Era pushed through direct election of Senators because the Senate had just become a graft game played by the .1% Not at all surprising that the GOP would like it to revert to that -- those are their puppetmasters.
Dr. Mrs. and I very briefly took a swing at joining UU (cuz, like them, we're atheists...) and it seemed like 98% of the activity of the church was forming and empowering committees most of which were groups about forming and empowering committees. So much so that I gather it-s a running good-natured joke.
And things changed, how??
JFK wrote that Senators are the ambassadors from the State to the Federal government. Somewhere that concept was lost (when they turned on the TV cameras?).
Trump fired Priebus and hired John Kelly for Chief of Staff![]()
"If you think this war against our way of life is over because some of the self-appointed opinion-makers and chattering class grow ‘war weary,’ because they want to be out of Iraq or Afghanistan, you are mistaken. This enemy is dedicated to our destruction. He will fight us for generations, and the conflict will move through various phases as it has since 9/11."
Wait, that John Kelly. Ruh roh.
Where does a general running the White House Chief of Staff fall on the fascism scale?
When did he say that? His son was KIA in 2010 (he is in fact the highest ranking officer to lose a child in combat during the Forever War) so he was probably not in the best of moods for awhile.

As long as he isn't active duty I'm fine with that in itself. Heck, we've had plenty of ex-generals who were president.
Being COS and S/DHS at the same time doesn't sound like a great idea. The former job is politics, the latter job is policy.
I was wondering the same thing. This isn't a good thing.
Looks like the last time we had a high ranking military officer in that post was... Wait, I'll give you all three guesses:
Answer Inside
Hidden: This really is Stupid Watergate all over again
