POTUS 45.10 - Stage Two in Perpetuity

Re: POTUS 45.10 - Stage Two in Perpetuity

That's not something to be proud of. Even if you left POTUS blank (which I'll lay aside as another debate entirely), you should still go to vote for your fed/state/local positions, and any proposals.

I'm not proud of it. There was no "better" candidate to vote for. I am aware that there will most likely be no "perfect" candidate. The fact that there is no favorable candidate makes me sad. Now, it has been brought up before, that MOST LIKELY, my vote would not matter in MN, and that is truth. However, I will not use that as an excuse. I honestly would've written in votes, so what the heck is the point? (Yes, I've heard the arguments for future funding, etc).

Ms Chelsea Clinton (verified) just condemned Griffin on the Tweeter.

I say we ruin Griffin's career.....wait....huh? Really? Oh, okay, nevermind. ;)

One, I love seeing people like Chelsea and olbermann condemn this crap.
Two...exactly, what career?

Hillary won MN, so his no-vote had no effect in the favor of Pres. Yuuge.

Re: POTUS 45.10 - Stage Two in Perpetuity

Yes, there was.

Don't bother. It isn't worth it.

Note to Geezer,

You may hate party loyalty but that is exactly what is getting the Republicans elected everywhere. While the Democrats have none and require 100% out of their candidates, the Republican voter only needs 1 or 2 issues to decide their candidate. Neither of those issues need effect their lives directly either.

Which is exactly why I hate it. Many people are so blinded by loyalty to the (R) that they don't even pause to consider whether their party's candidates are human. To balance that, conservative people like me need to vote straight (D) until the pus is drained out of DC.
note: not "all conservatives." That kind of talk is what entrenches stupid opposition by party label. They are "many individual voters" who have been misled.

Yes, you said conservative, but "need(ing) to vote straight (D)" is also party loyalty. How about vote for the candidate him/herself, and not the letter next to their name?

This is what I imagine happens at the White House.

Donald: Watch this Ivanka, I'm not going to finish this tweet and the internet will go insane.

Donald (tweets Covfefe): I have no idea what this word means, but there it is.

Internet: Loses its mind.

Internet Trolls are really good at what they do, but not at being president.

Sure, why not. After all that's exactly how Trump got elected. Nothing bad about that.

No, they were not misled. They failed at critical thinking.

And not voting for the letter next to a name got Ventura elected. Until the last minute, I was going to vote Coleman in that election. Just sayin'.

(Yes, Ventura, at one point, was sane, believe it or not ;) )

And, how is that a good thing? Ventura's legacy is practically nil. He accomplished nothing and left the office in scandal. He ended being a horrible Governor.

Sigh. Hillary was a terrible candidate. She would have been an excellent president.

That was this election in one sentence: people voted for the candidacy as a protest rather than the actual office holder they would wind up with.

I HATED voting for Hillary. She is likely the worst candidate I will ever vote for, and I voted for John Edwards. But as awful a candidate as she was, she would be as competent as Trump is incompetent and as much a credit to the country as Trump is a disgrace.

Voting for Hillary was exactly like working. No kidding I would rather not. No kidding I wish I could keep my dignity by doing something that matters for an employer I believed in. But absent those luxuries... I STILL HAVE TO GET UP AND GO TO WORK! I can't just sit home stating my preference for a better world in splendid isolation or the electric company will cut off my power.

The intelligent and principled people in America stayed home because they didn't want to go to their crappy, tiring, uninspiring, awful job, and now all the bills are piling up and everything is getting shut off and the kids are hungry and the roof is leaking and our European wife is getting a little squirrelly and I don't blame her, not only is our Canadian neighbor hunky but he has a job.

What was the Ventura scandal? I knew he was an idiot but my impression was he was an honest idiot who tried hard to do the right thing but was incompetent and in over his head.

His son Tyrel turned the Governor's mansion into a frat house.

He brought slow, light rail to the state.
