POTUS 45.10 - Stage Two in Perpetuity

Re: POTUS 45.10 - Stage Two in Perpetuity

I think its more like convincing Democrats to vote. They did come out in 2006 and 2008 so its possible to get them off their butts.

And not running a garbage candidate will certainly help that, yes.

BTW, have you found anybody you like for 2020 yet? We can probably put together a list of 20 names from which 3 of the top 4 will come (the 4th being a darkhorse).

Castro
Udall
Harris
Warner
Booker
Gillibrand
Duckworth
Franken

The double standard is off the charts.

Good luck with the conversion therapy when the Democrats sit out again because they pick someone who alienates another part of their base.

Who was the garbage candidate in the mid-terms? We lost like 8 and maybe 6 seats in 2014 and 2010 in the senate. Thought we gained a couple last year...

The Poors don't vote in the midterm and never have. They need the Super Bowl to wake up.

Sounds like Trump's personal attorney has been subpoenaed by the House Intel Committee. He's already said he will not cooperate.

Frankly, I'm not even sure why they subpoenaed him. Attorney-client privilege would obviously apply. Are there cases when it wouldn't?

Michael Cohen is up to his eyebrows in this whole Russian mess. He's not being subpeonaed for what his client might have done, but for what he's been doing.

I think Tump is learning that the bullying tactics he has used all his life are going to play a little differently with his new job. Well, ought to be learning.

Maybe qualify that to stupid bullying tactics.

Re: POTUS 45.10 - Stage Two in Perpetuity

What happened in 2006?

A miracle, a perfect alignment, and mass voting by the middle class against the corrupt incumbent GOP. It wasn't the Poors -- we're lucky if we can wheel the Poors to the polls in the General.

Re: POTUS 45.10 - Stage Two in Perpetuity

Good question. If the lawyer doesn't know who he's passing off the money too (and I would guess most lawyers won't ask questions, so they can claim ignorance later on), the lawyer might be in the clear.

Say I am Trump's lawyer. He gives me money to hand to John Doe. That's all the info I have. Later on, John Doe is found to be a courier for Russian important people. I didn't know that at the time. I should be good to go.

Do NOT quote me on this, but I believe that is correct per the law, etc.

That is rather simplistic but in general it could be argued you are right. If a reasonable person should know what they are doing is illegal (so lets say John Doe is a noted Russian that should not be talked to or given money) though then ignorance is no excuse.

And ignorance cant always save you after the fact anyways. Lets use your example...lets say Donald gives his lawyer a box to deliver to a friend and he doesnt ask any questions. He hands the box over and goes on his merry way. Box blows up killing said person. Your ignorance wont save you...

If the Dems nominate Booker they might as well give up.

I say go with Castro. We already managed to elect a Hussein.

Forget about Booker.
And eliminate all the women. They have no shot.

Wrong. A 55+ year old white dude is not going to win a decisive victory for the Dems. He won't get out enough of the minority vote, no matter how hard he tries.

Correct. There is a tipping point of sorts. It all boils down to info at hand, and what info should be generally known.

You know, I get freedom of speech/expression and all, but this...is excessive and does not help liberals' cause at all...

And yeah, we all know there were RWNJ's who lynched Obama in effigy, but 'tu quoque' argumentation is especially wrong here.
