POTUS 45.10 - Stage Two in Perpetuity

So the Republican running for Montana's open seat body slammed a reporter, then said it was fine because he was a liberal.

And strangely enough a Fox News reporter is backing up the reporters story

Not just backing, but expanding. The fox guy said he started punching the reporter on the ground. He also said there was zero provocation.

It's getting better. Sheriff just had a presser asking people to stop calling to report this (which I get). Sheriff is a public donor to the GOP candidate

No surprise it's Montana. Would be hilarious if this turd was on meth.

MT sucks. There's a reason my parents flew back to have me here in MN (as in, being born here). Honest to God, they refused to have me born in MT.

This is not normal. This is not normal.

And, the reason she is not a Presidential Candidate is exactly what's wrong with America right now.

I disagree and I say that as one who votes for her. I dont think she is Presidential Material and I have seen her speak enough and been around her enough to come to that conclusion based on evidence not her biology.

Guys, a sitting VPOTUS once killed the former Treasury Secretary in an illegal duel and the criminal charges were dropped. You're all getting your panties in a twist over a sucker punsh. They used to happen every so often each year for a long, long time in politics, and likely with the press too - look up some historical quotes made by American politicians about the press. While I'm not advocating for them, and I'd like to think we've moved beyond such acts, but let's not pretend this is the worst thing to have ever happened in the realm of politics.

Isn't this development good for opponents of the bill, though? I thought they needed to show a substantial savings in order to get it through the Senate without worrying about a filibuster?

No that rule (the Byrd Rule) is not set in stone, they can set it aside.

It is one of the most ridiculous in our lifetime...and certainly since the beginning of the 20th Century.

This. In the past, some politicians resorted to calling his opponent a "thespian" and it kinda worked. Yeah.

Monday was the 161st anniversary of a member of the US House walking into the Senate and savagely beating a US Senator into unconsciousness with his walking cane, over of all things, racial issues.

Many politicians back then also owned other human beings. You can't do that anymore either, even though I know you support the House Rep that wants to bring that back.

IIRC, he got off pleading temporary insanity.
