Yes but they didn't show up for his event, they showed up for another event! If there's one thing he will not stand for, it's something else getting better ratings. By the level of behavior we've seen from him thus far, I expect Planned Parenthood will get $500 billion in the budget next year as revenge.

Part of that is that last Friday DC Federal government workers and many others had the day off and didn't use the Metro. Today was a normal workday. However DT is a mental midget and can't come up with valid excuses.

This is hitting close to home now, I got the email that if any of our middle eastern grad students visit home they won't be allowed to return... it's depressingly real, I work with some of these people.
Once again I'll recommend Pod Save America for a clear eyed look at the insanity from a couple of extreme leftists. I want to get as far left as I can now until the national nightmare ends.

Aren't they here on student visas? Not sure if a visa lets you come and go? But I assume it does?

the travel ban applies to all aliens (from the targeted countries), so it could prevent resident aliens like people with student visas or green cards from returning to the U.S.

That's actually quite stunning. We just hired someone who is Indian- thankfully, we went home and came back before this all came down. My boss is also Canadian- and with NAFTA up for grabs, theoretically- they are under the gun, too.

For all of the complaining of Obama using EO's, this is totally insane. He's not even bothering to ask Congress to make rules, and failing- he's just doing what he wants. That seems hardly legal. Where are all of the Senators and Representatives who were claiming that EO's were unconstitutional??? Now that the label and color of the president changed, it's now ok???? As I see it right now, R's are totally letting don become a dictator.

NAFTA is separate from immigration; your boss is fine. Frankly, your Indian colleague is also fine (for the moment, anyway).

If I were from a Muslim-majority country, though, even one not on the current list, I'd be nervous as shiat.

Well the ban only applies to muslim majority countries (and only ones that Trump does not have business dealings with). Your Indian co-worker is safe.

1/3 of the students I teach are Muslim...I am right there with you. This is disgusting, and whats worse is there are millions applauding this completely Un-American action.
