The illegal voters story just keeps getting better...

I read that...seriously Trump is that dude we all know who tells lies to make himself sound cool but everyone knows is full of it!

I'd rather have Todd Packer as Pres (yes I'm watching the office again)

He's excited because Donny will allow him to run Wisconsin into the ground even faster. They'll be Kansas level effed soon.

Not even Don Jong-un could do a better job of that than SW is already doing.

Let's face it - until you replace all the inhabitants with people born elsewhere it's always going to be hell on Earth.

It's awfully presumptuous of Clementine Putie to assume they were browns from south of the border. I mean it could have just as easily been a group of blacks who surely were felons.

This is hilarious.

So this voter fraud thing has a very interesting tangent- election validity.

Saw this movie last night- "I Voted?" http://www.ivotedmovie.com/ Which is basically about our voting system and the lack of any common specifications and even worse, the total lack of checking if a vote is real or not. Not the illegal voter kind- but if you pushed the button for X or drew on a page for X, did the vote go for X or Y?

The movie starts with a primary election in South Carolina where a total unknown person who didn't campaign won the primary overwhelmingly. How did that happen?

It points out that the voting machines that are commonly used are not very reliable, and are also quite easy to hack. And for many of them, there's no actual way to do a recount because there is no paper trail to use.

Even with a paper trail, there can be problems- in a county in Florida, there was a city council election that used a very similar system that we use here in Michigan, where there's a scanned paper ballot. As it turns out, for a reason that nobody still knows why- votes going to one potential council member counted for someone else. Thankfully, they had a paper trail to recount with, otherwise, there would have been a totally wrong election.

It was very interesting.

After which Alex Halderman- https://jhalderm.com/ did a great presentation. He was featured in the film- he lead a group of students at Michigan who managed to hack into an on line election, as asked by the election board. The crux of the presentation was two conclusions- one- it's still highly unlikely that there was widespread voter fraud, or that the election was hacked. BUT- it's REALLY easy to have one of the machines make a mistake OR for it to be easily hacked, which will completely throw out an election.

Basically, the push of the two things was to get our states to 1) use a paper ballot, and regulate around that instead of the machine that counts them. (recall that some of the Detroit ballots were not counted just because a seal on the paper was broken- it took the machine tally over it) 2) increase security around the voting system (don't leave machines out unattended before the election, and make sure that the systems that are programming the machines are truly secure) and 3) include an audit in each election- can be just a bunch of random voting districts to make a solid statistical check, and move up the chain if issues are found.

This should be a bi-partisan thing, too. With all of the anger going around this country, it would take a little tweak to the system by a handful of people to throw things very badly off. Either way. Anyone who currently holds office could easily make someone mad enough to do this, and I don't think anyone would want to lose an election due to either an honest mistake or an intentional hack.

After the talk, we heard that there is going to be some proposed legislation in Michigan to address this. But it would be a good idea to talk to your state, and get the election to be secure.

Anybody watching the Trump interview on ABC?

Haven't seen it yet but the first response is it was complete gibberish, as in, he appears to be stark raving mad.

Dude, he doesn't love trump. He despises the guy. Hes fellating him so he'll continue to give him an allowance. You know, like a gigolo.

"That was real good what you did, Billy. It was good that you wished Medicare into the corn field!"

Tremendously nuts, tremendous anger.
He used the word tremendous constantly. Insulted the press. Just a run of the mill presidential interview

Assuming there's still life on earth after this, people are going to view (or mentally implant, or whatever) these clips in a hundred years and laugh so hard their genetic aftermarket wings fall off.

Trump's speech patterns are much more pathetic and pathological than Mussolini's poses.

Re: POTUS 45.1 - You take the high road and I'll take the low road

When slot machines are better regulated and maintained over voting machines, you know there is inherent flaws with the system.

Three steps should be done for electronic voting: Open bidding to all manufactures for production and maintenance on a three year contract basis via a bid process; Make source code open and review-able; Lock it down (do NOT allow the machines to be an Internet of Things device and do NOT allow access to the hardware easily from the outside of the machine (no visible USB ports, no quick snap covers over USB ports, etc)).

Re: POTUS 45.1 - You take the high road and I'll take the low road

So far Bannon, Priebus, Mnuchin, Kushner and Trump's very own daughter Tiffany are fraudulent voters under his two state registration qualms.

As we learned from Battlestar Galactica: The only way to completely protect a device is to not connect it at all. I'd even build a shield around it to block any RF (insert tin foil hat joke here), just in case China wants to sneak a wireless radio on there. It's amazing how, in the wake of new technology, it's the old technology that ends up winning out.

Was it confirmed that they voted in both places? County election boards can be very lackluster in purging election rolls (hence why dead people vote), and I don't even know if you can actually request that you be taken off a roll, especially if you move somewhere else.

Donnie didn't say voted in two states, moron said registered. Half his family fits that.

Curiosity got the better part of me, so I flipped on the XM POTUS channel for part of the drive to work this AM. They played a snippet from Kellyanne Conway being interviewed by Matt Lauer on Today this morning. He asked her about the fraudulent voters, and Kellyanne commented that 'She spent time talking with Tiffany Trump who is registered in Pennsylvania and New (York? Jersey? I forget) and how she only voted in New (wherever) and that she had a hard time de-registering from Pennsylvania.'

Lauer then goes "So what about Steve Bannon, he's registered in two states also?"
Kellyanne: "Well, I know he wouldn't vote twice, so that isn't the issue..."

The best part, is with your list, Trump stated to ABC News on his interview that every count of voter fraud was a vote for the "opposition." Huh. I didn't' know Bannon, Priebus, Mnuchin, Kushner, and Tiffany Trump all voted for Hillary.

Correct. Don's witch hunt seems to come from people who are "registered" in two states. Depending on how often voter rolls are purged, there are plenty of these cases.

Now, Don doesn't seem to understand just how voting and voting registry works. Did these "multi-location" voters actually cast more than one ballot? Not likely.

Depending on how often Michigan purges their voter rolls, I may still be on them from 2004. I haven't voted (or lived) in Michigan since 2005, and have been registered in Illinois since 2008.
