I'll tell you what I think. I think profit/plutocracy has taken the place of American Exceptionalism. And that American Exceptionalism used to mean America strived to be the best at everything.

Why is this a surprise? Look at the response from the left wing useful idiots, paid dupes of Soros, and the ongoing violence. ALL OF US MUST REMEMBER THIS! Do not forget how Obama subverted the US Constitution with impunity. Obama was underestimated, as was the corrupt, spineless Establishment GOP. The demonic-rats, along with Soros are already preparing for the next presidential elections very aggressively. If a demonic-rat is elected again, it will be nearly impossible to remove it from office. With all the ILLEGAL ALIENS changing/polluting the demographics of the USA, only a Civil War will remedy the communist movement.

The key to partisan politics is you recognize the individuality of your own party, and lump the opposition into one. ;)

Even Infowars puts out some duds, but normally it's a "he said, she said" followed by some commentary, which can be easily skipped. One thing you do have to give them, though: They'll welcome your point of view. It might come with a debate, but they aren't going to silence you. Just look at how many times they tried to give protesters the microphone to let their message be heard, and they either ran away or resigned to a chant or talking point.

There will always be idiots. America is no deader today than it ever was. All that has changed is the technology now exists to pipe the idiots right to our screens.

I suspect every major advance in communication -- spoken language, writing, printing, broadcast, the internet -- has been accompanied by cataclysmic predictions that we're getting stupider. Likely the first question ever spoken by a human was "Nog, honey? When did people get so stupid?" and was immediately followed by, "Oh, Ogg. They were always this stupid. We just didn't know it, yet. Now help me cure Junior's cough with this rock..."

We are not getting stupider. We are just hearing from stupider people. The shock will pass.

Because the people of North and South Dakota felt they knew what was better for Standing Rock than the native did.

Because the Red County residents who benefitted by being forced to pay for Obamacare to actually take care of themselves would rather use the $500 a year to buy more Mountain Dew and a big screen TV.

Because rust belt natives are clinging to the hope that they can be fourth or fifth generation miners/factory workers while the world has moved on without them.

Because chasing the dollar has become the new American dream.

**ck protecting our natural land. **ck taking care of all our citizens. Go chase the dollar under the guise of trickledown economics.

No, I'm not surprised. I'm also not surprised that we elected a sexual predator President and the sexual predator news channel is crushing everyone else in the ratings.

But, alas, misogyny doesn't exist in America and there is no war on women.
