But why? There's no "there" there. Fake news. democrats just pizzed cause they lost the election. An election they should have won, since it's almost impossible for a Republican to win the electoral vote.

I think we're all worn out. Major Garrett said on Press Pool this afternoon that he almost needs a couple weeks off from this just to calm down a little. Julie Mason said she hasn't slept well in a while because she's just so saturated with information and events.

I agree. If Trump and Pence are impeached it will be after the midterms, and if impeachment is a dead certainty with a Dem majority there will be a Dem majority. Even Republicans can't suppress fast enough to thwart a 70-30 midterm House vote split.

The GOP will never impeach either Trump or Pence. The best we can expect under them is they pay Trump to flounce, whereupon Pence steps up and pardons Trump for all his criminal actions both as president and as a private citizen.

The only way to kill them both is a Dem sweep of Congress in 2018 which means President... Schumer!

You know why they will impeach? The post you made immediately before this. If the Dems retake the house and impeach, it will be a D in charge. They can't take that risk.

Especially if those ****wits Cruz and Paul go nuclear holocaust and destroy the senate. Imagine what would happen if the Ds took all three in an impeachment/midterm sweep. They would pass single payer faster than you could say "socialist Scandinavian government"

And when that happens, they will promptly lose the congress and then the white house, just like what happened to the democrats in the last 6 years. For 40 years polls showed most Americans wanted something done about health care and insurance. They got it. And then during 2010 the economy grew more than in any year since and how were democrats rewarded? They were shown the door. When the democrats learn how to lie as effectively and appeal to the animal brain as effectively as the republicans, they might again have some sustained electoral success. Until then, not so much.

Have to admit though I think there might be some traction to what you say as reasons for republicans to act. Couple a fear of democrats controlling both the legislative and executive branches, as well as their own simple survival instincts, and maybe republicans do something drastic to save their hides.

Normally, I would agree with you. But the odds that don paints R's into a corner with a single solution gets higher every day.

Given that don bragged about asking about being under investigation, and bragged about spouting to the russians- all after massive denials from the white house, it's very possible that he spouts the absolutely wrong thing and Congress will have no choice at all. If they do nothing when he admits to an impeachable offense, then they will sign over the entire government in 2018. Including Speaker, and the next appointed President. To prevent that, they will have to do something.

I didn't think it was possible, but don is proving to be way to stupid for his own good. Now I think it's likely.

And this is SEPARATE from whatever comes from the Russia investigation. That's what makes it really bad.

That, I don't agree with. They will take their time, to try to make sure to do it right. Just like the ACA took so long. :)

Nah. They would just eliminate the age requirement for Medicare.

The amazing thing to me is this Trump presidency is turning out to be as truly horrible as i expected it to be. And we haven't even reached the economic collapse part yet.

Not sure how much more I will watch Anderson Cooper, but seeing former Sec of State Schultz suggest that an impeachment is likely is pretty interesting.
