Now the focus is on Trump and why he did it. Easy assumption: cover-up. But if there's something there, and Comey's inept (as history may lead one to believe) why not just leave Comey in place as a wounded duck who just got refuted in Congressional testimony by his own FBI (few v. thousands of emails)?
I suspect the magician's other hand is in play because all we can look at right now is "he fired Comey"? That was a CEO move, meaning, do something big and unexpected to draw attention away from you reorganizing two other divisions and selling off some underperforming chunk of the organization. <-- the magician's other hand
