POTUS 45.08: Suckers

My only complaint about stuff like Colbert's monologue and a hundred other comedians currently is that it's simply lazy. There must be 10,000 things that one could write genuinely humorous and/or satirical pieces about this administration, but instead I very often just see a lot of name calling and insults hurled at Trump being substituted for actual comedy writing. I mean, I too could just put #Trumpsucks in twitter and in 10 minutes write an entire monologue from the comments that passes muster these days. Give me some substance, some thought, some wit, some cleverness, and I'm with you, but a lot of this stuff is just kind of a cheap and easy way to go and gets boring fast if you asked me. Which, of course, nobody did.

The thing is, half the point is to needle Trump and get under his skin. You're not going to do that with genuine cleverness--he doesn't understand that.

What he does understand is when a joke undermines his strong, alpha male facade. And it's funny watching this dimwit respond to ridiculous things like the "small hands" stuff.

Colbert is 99% clever and the snowflakes don't like that either, but it's the 1% comment that got them to stand up. I love it.

Re: POTUS 45.08: Suckers

Wait, wasn't Trump the one who said the country was too politically correct?

More hypocrisy. What a ****ing surprise.

Oh I know...usually they dont have the president doing it cause he had his feelings hurt though ;)

And it is hardly just the Right hating on Colbert about this...all the precious snowflakes and internet warriors on the Left are attacking him too.

What he said was not homophobic...it was sophomoric and lame but not homophobic.

All of the above.

That's why The President Show is so on point.

Re: POTUS 45.08: Suckers

This article and poll are a few days old now but illustrate perfectly how hard it will be to convince voters they are being duped by Republicans and Trump. Few Trump voters think he lies and the vast majority think the press does. Trump could whip out his johnson and take a frothy p!sz on the American flag and his supporters would not waiver at all in their devotion. And afterwards they'd accuse the press who reported on the story of lying about it.

Yeah but who cares? I'd the Dems want to win they need to convince their Viet's not the Trump voters.

Marcon looks to have won big in the election today.

Never thought I'd say this, but good work France. You managed to vote and avoid the worse of two evils rather than allowing your "principles" to prevent you from voting for either

If we had had two rounds we'd have done the same thing.

Well Macron was an independent so the "something different" crowd could defend voting for him.
