POTUS 45.0: It was the best of times. It was the worst of times.

Re: POTUS 45.0: It was the best of times. It was the worst of times.

I remember this exact discussion from when Obama took office. I don't think the risk is any worse or any better than 2008.

Re: POTUS 45.0: It was the best of times. It was the worst of times.

I love hearing McCain say essentially Trump has only himself to blame for his current approval ratings, "due to chasing too many windmills".

Re: POTUS 45.0: It was the best of times. It was the worst of times.

Time to get this post flagged by the Secret Service:

What are the odds of someone taking a literal shot at Trump at some point in the near future? Just thinking about the situation with the nation being so polarized. Also I can see Trump blatantly ignoring the Secret Service's instructions on some protocol.

Am I nuts for thinking this is a legit concern in addition to any policy that may come forward or get back burnered? I can only imagine the consequences of such an event...

There are about ten million RWNJs armed to the teeth who thought assassinating Obama would get them their 72 Christian virgins, and they never even got off a good shot.

I think the game has changed and the SS is now so good the president is extremely well protected.

A pro will succeed. A nut job needs to get very very lucky.

The question is can a pro get away with it? Because if not that takes out all the Have Gun Will Travel types and leaves you with, well, nut jobs with good aim.

Can a pro get away with it? Almost assuredly not.

Same reason why I was surprised Anonymous announced going after Trump. As good as they are I don't see how they can get away with it.

Kennedy assassinator Oswald argued for atheism.

Only if he tells the SS to **** off, he's sleeping in his own bed in Trump Tower every weekend or something equally insane. I'd imagine the security would be infinitely more difficult for them.

I doubt they have much to go after, as far as his personal tech is concerned. I've read numerous reports that he's never seriously used a computer, cell phone, or even email. He is totally incurious about things he cannot understand.

Any kind of foreign business transactions, OTOH, will have some sort of e-paper trail. Nothing he can do about that - it's all up to the banksters to protect any financial dirt he's got out there.

Now, if they wanted to target Russian data...hmmm...anyone here feeling dangerous and up to starting 'Russialeaks'? It already has a golden title. :D

People Trump has selected will be in charge of his cyber-security.

I'm sure the CIA operative who was the actual assassin was a good Christian.

I have no problem with your blanket dislike of believers. It impacts your life more than mine.

But I will likely call you out when you're wrong...like inferring that religion leads to presidential assassinations.

Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait

Is this true? DeVos' brother founded Blackwater (yes that one), her husband owns Amway, and she's for defunding public schools?

Dear god. Get that family under a microscope. We can find the gene that makes a person evil.

But inferring that atheism does is a-ok?

Yeah, he should have inferred atheism leads to them instead...

The former is a falsehood. I have no blanket dislike of believers. I have a blanket dislike of people who don't use the brains God gave them, and Biblical literalists are one such group.

The latter was a joke. Well, sort of. There are certainly hateful jackwagons in this country who murder people and who believe they have divine sanction to do so. Ask George Tiller, oh right, you can't. Some others have been in the news more recently.

Your deliberate twisting of both atheism and what atheists say about believers says everything about your brainwashing and nothing about your targets. Thankfully, although you seem to have your critical thinking skills removed when it comes to matters of faith, you're not one of the violent ones. But that may simply be a quirk of personality. Don't get me wrong, I prefer it. But when you look out into the world and see intolerance, that's your own reflection.
