POTUS 45.0: It was the best of times. It was the worst of times.

Yep, I was just talking about this last night with some folks here. It's one thing to complain loudly, and that is a start; but if you don't like your leaders, you have to actually act.

Truth.

Re: POTUS 45.0: It was the best of times. It was the worst of times.

Sean Spicer just came out and opened up a can of whoop *** on the press. Trump is ticked that his speech yesterday was taken the way it was delivered and his crowds yesterday got spanked today.

He is a petulent child. This was day one in office and already his press secretary had a temper tantrum.

I'm just waiting for them to start throwing out members of the WH press corps. Then the real fun begins, as they are replaced by Alex Jones, Sean Hannity, and whatever turds Breitbart sends in that week.

Like the white house Press corp is some paragon of virtue

Glad to see in Trump's America, he's finding work for everyone!

A lot of the speeches, from what coverage I was able to watch, seem to echo this. A lot of calls to action, a lot relaying information on how to support causes/organizations/candidates, and a lot of calls for people to get involved by voting and running for office.

Echoing Scooby's comment, Trump has rendered the Presidential minimum age requirement meaningless. What would we get with a typical 12-year-old that we don't have with him? Long hours in the bathroom?

Billy the Bully from Emma White Middle School in Alpena, MI for POTUS 2020. Because, "How much lower can we really go?"

Trump is rapidly going to find (may already be finding) that being POTUS is not like running a business. He's brought all these millionaires and billionaires into his admin, and hasn't divested himself from his business holdings (not to mention the involvement of his own son-in-law). He can't just fire them without incurring potential major consequences to himself.

Not to mention serious opposition from the board er Congress...

Sorry you completely missed the point. Declaring a news organization "fake" and not taking questions from them is the first step to Putinism. Throwing them out of the room is the next step.
If that happens I hope there is a revolt in the press corp.

It probably won't happen but rebellions are built on hope...

Re: POTUS 45.0: It was the best of times. It was the worst of times.

B***hing about things isn't gonna fix the hole we've dug ourselves into, and the main reason we got 8 years of W instead of 4. This is the type of stuff that can lead to taking back power. Like I've said, this is is a war, and it's time to fight back!

That really, really, REALLY depends on if these people think a march takes the place of voting. As I said before, I find a lot of this to be CYA after the fact for people who didn't vote or voted 3rd party and are now in the same position Nader dupes were 16 years ago. The time to fight back was in November. Its not like we didn't know what a Republican Congress would have in store for us, or didn't realize the impact of a Trump Presidency. Yet lefties still sat around with their thumbs up their butts.

March all you want, but don't forget to show up for the 2018 mid-terms.

"We have always been at war with Eastasia."

Again, b****ing about people not showing up solves nothing. The attitude you display in this post is the same attitude that got us 8 years of W.

We just had millions of people out in the streets, across the country publicly stating opposition and ready to fight and take action, and all you can do is b****.

The election is over, Clinton lost, and Trump is President. What is needed now, and what this march is starting, is the formation of a resistance to the inevitable BS that will come out. It's time to craft a long term strategy of resistance and implement it, not sit and b**** about "if you showed up" or "this just looks like CYA..." That doesn't help.

There's hope right now, people seem ready to fight. Let's help each other organize.

Nah, it's better to blame to make oneself feel better after falsely declaring victory for months on end.

Agreed. Sick of the verbal warrgarbling going on right now. Not doing any good. It's doing the opposite. Actually DO something about it.
