Dictators don't hold military parades for sake of "pride in the country". Do you think they give a **** about that? It's a show of power to remind any dissidents what they're up against.

Imagine Obama doing this. Flaggy's racist little heart would have stopped on the spot.

Don't you think it's a little odd the head of the DC National Guard is being told to step down once Trump is sworn in? Just like how they changed protection detail last minute just before Kennedy was assassinated?

At least he's actually, you know, working. He may be working for everything I disagree with, but at the very least, I think he literally works.

We're on the same page, here. I'm just thinking that if we have to be infested with these ratf-ckers for 4 years, let them take all the PTO they want.

I'd say Trump can just skip the whole thing but in many ways Pence is worse. After that it's Ryan who's even worse yet. We need some roach spray.

The DC National Guard head was ordered to stand down on Inauguration by Trump.

Though... if your theory is Trump has been secretly working to assassinate himself, the last 18 months make a lot more sense.

I think in Hitler's case they served a dual purpose. Early on, the former. Later, the latter. Erik Larson's brief description of a bystander's view of a Nazi parade in In the Garden of Beasts is interesting.
