Thanks Norm for the reminder. No need to make excuses here, Plattsburgh laid a beat down on the Bears last night. I think we will have a good season but if we're going anywhere, we gotta figure out a way to beat you guys.

0-3-2 in our last 5 games after a great start to the season. I don't know if the fellas starting believing a little much of the hype OR the thumping at Plattsburgh set them back. I am confident with 2 non leagues games before the break should be the cure for what ails us.
Perhaps I need to place things in perspective here, my Bears are still in 1st place. (Beat you to it Norm!)

The Bears deserved a better fate last night. I thought they carried the play for the most part. However giving up a 2 goal lead on the road is not a good thing. One to go before the break. Let's finish strong boys!

EC had 3 of their top forwards out of the lineup and forgot how to pass the puck! It was an ugly game to watch.

Another exciting night at Maxcy this evening. Early on the Bears dominated Johnson and Wales and they were rewarded with an early goal. I was very impressed the puck pressure by the Bears tonight. Nate Skidmore picked up his first career win tonight for the Bears. He looked better as the game went on. A very lucky deflection was the difference tonight as Vander Esche fired the puck from the corner and it went off a Wildcats defender's skate. Hey we will take it! The losing streak is over......finally.
And to cap off a great night......I won the 50-50!

A few other observations from this evening.......
Billy Pascalli could stick handle around anyone in a phone booth.
Great student support again this evening. There was great energy in the building tonight.
Sean Kaserocsky fired one from the point tonight and no one saw it.....wow that kid has a shot!
One other final thought, everyone here knows how much the Bears mean to me. I cannot say enough kind things about Coach Bernard. Before every home game he takes time out to chat with me and thank me for my continued support of the program. It certainly means alot to me as it would every fan. I don't how many other Head Coaches do that but I appreciate it.

Another exciting win at Maxcy this evening by my Bears. Utica is a very tough opponent and they have a tremendous goalie in Fredrick. Holy smokes he's only a freshman! I thought at times Potsdam outplayed the Pioneers. I must add that the Pioneers definitely play with an edge, they're a tough bunch. But hey I will take a 2-1 victory against them anytime. Next up, the Kangaroos for a pair of games.....should be interesting.
