Bears Pride night this Friday night at Maxcy. The place should be jammed and loud as the school always does a great job with this. My time off request to attend to Finals in Placid was approved today!

Depending on whether or not one gets behind a slow poke (aka dreaded "traffic plugger" or the closely-related "brake tapper") an hour or less from Plattsburgh to Lake Placid.

If you take 22b to Peru, then Union Rd, right onto Harkness Rd, bear right onto Dry Bridge Rd. Right onto Silver Lake Rd, bear left in Black Brook onto Hazelton Rd, then right onto 86 in Wilmington and follow through the notch into Placid, about 45-50 minutes.

But I would miss the thrill of going flat out on Rt 458!

I'm in the southern part of Clinton County, so it's closer to 35-40 minutes for me.

Regardless I will be staying there for 2 nights. I haven't had a mini vacation in a long time.

What another fun weekend at Maxcy this past weekend. After the tie against Cortland last night and knowing Oswego lost a tough one to Platty last night, I was curious to see how this contest would unfold. Oswego played some great hockey this evening and they gave their 'tender all the support he could have asked for. Brendan Mac came up huge for the Bears. I thought this was the most exciting game I've seen all season. I won't lie, I truly started to think we were going to suffer a tough loss. But with about 6 minutes the Bears got one and then with 2 minutes to go, Maxcy Hall exploded! Wow, what a game! I am so hyped up right now...
I think we have a home a game next Saturday night against another SUNYAC team, my memory evades me right now. Arby's comes to mind.
