Schedules yes, when you work 7 days a week, you loose track of day a date falls on. I am going to try to make both games if I can, but obviously Saturday (as I now know) is my priority. :cool:

The Bears roster is up. Definitely added some size to this year's squad. A few things caught my eye, Trent Durocher transferred from Oswego and a freshman who played the BCHL A league who was all set to attend a D III school in Wisconsin, but apparently he had a change of heart. I think our forwards will be the best group since Coach Bernard took over. However question marks are on the defense and goaltending situations. I can see us winning games by scores of 6-5, etc.
Norm hope you can join us on Friday night. I can't wait for the season to start!

Ahh the joys of life. Last season I was unable to make most of the Bears home games but now I can attend them religiously. I thought Potsdam would have put up a few more against Morrisville but give the Mustangs some credit they play very well in their own end. They take away the shooting lanes and block shots very well. I think their goalie is ok but nothing incredible. I was impressed the hustle by the Bears tonight and they deserve alot of credit for how they played in their own end as well. That being said MacMinnem was solid between the pipes tonight. It was a great victory for my Bears and now they have to answer the challenge tomorrow night in Morrisville. Great to be back!

So we swept Morrisville this season, which is fine and very nice to have 4 points in the standings already. I think Dylan Vanderesche is a tremendous player, another hat trick last night. He is only a sophomore but he already has 3 hat tricks in his career. I am a bit concerned by giving up 3 goals last night on less than 20 shots. We need to adopt Coach Emery's philosophy, "be prepared to win games 1-0".
Next weekend we welcome the Thugals from Buffalo and Freddy. Should be interesting.

I am very interested to see how Murphy controls the Thugals. 21 penalties in 2 games so far, not impressive. The type of penalties tho are mostly holding, tripping, and hooking. More of an indication of the "quality" (or there the lack of) skill. If they're having a hard time keeping up with Nazareth and Fredonia, Im curious as to how they will hold up with the speed of Plattsburgh. I don't see a lot of retaliation (slash, cross check, boarding ect) so far from them. Murphy was (for the most part) a very clean player in college. Maybe he can change the "Thugals" to the better.

I am pretty impressed with our freshman class so far. I think Da Bears could have a great season, just need to shore up the goaltending situation. There are only 2 programs in the SUNYAC that I truly don't care for, Buffalo and Brockport. One is because the Coach and the other is for how the team plays. LOL

Not many times have I been able to arise and remember my Bears are in first place and undefeated. Soooo.....I got that going for me.
