Post all your cries whines, objections, complaints here

If you had attended any of the last 6 games you would know more that 1000 people have been showing up? Well over that the last 3 games…Closer to 2500 by my estimates. Ask any EC fan on this board.
Just because the Paper may print 1000 people attended doesnt mean thats how many really attend....
But again if that’s the real number the committee and NCAA is going by, shame on Elmira for not posting correct Attendance figures.
Again, as I have stated, every year we hear the NCAA is in it for the $$$$ and how they can spend the least amount and make the most of it.
I just think they blew it in the $$$$ aspect this year…That’s all.

I've been to several Elmira games, especially the ones where they say there are 1500 there and there is maybe 750....spare me...

Whatever. So competitive that both semi-final games in the MCHA ended in 9-2 blowouts?

Just like that 9-2 blowout Oswego had of Bowdoin in the NCAA quarterfinals last year? How soon we forget! That game sure got you guys ready for your next one too didn't it?

Thanks, you proved my point...someone cant count.
If you had been to the last 3 games you would have seen the reverse. 1500 reported...in all actuality 2500 or more.

Doesn't matter who's right here - the game will still be in MICHIGAN...:(:(:(:(

You are absolutely correct. Good for Adrian. Im sure they will be a great host.

Maybe in the future they can somehow plan a regular season series with each other.

Yea because I'm sure they would miscount 1200 people on the positive side of things.......

Which was exactly the point, it happens in both regions. The original post implied it only happens in the East. I don't see what Oz blowing out Bowdoin has to do with losing to Norberts, but...ok. Nice point, you got me there.

It's not the NCAA's fault that the East Committee dropped Elmira to #3. The rules clearly state that in the case of a cross-region matchup, the team with the higher seed in their respective region hosts and with Adrian as the 2 and Elmira as the 3, the Bulldogs get to host.

If Elmira was kept at #2, they would be hosting Adrian, no ifs ands or buts about it. Plattsburgh got bumped to #2, which accomplished nothing in terms of where they would end up eventually. Regardless, they were going to host the Curry/Norwich winner whether they were #3 or #2 in the East.

Instead, by dropping Elmira to #3 all of sudden in the final rankings, the East lost a quarterfinal host site and failed to protect one of their top seeds.

The West outplayed the East this year.

On last nights Behind The Bench Bob Emery disclosed that actually with the NCAA cirteria Plattsburgh should have had the number 2 spot in the previous weeks poll. He did not know why they weren't. You can listen to the recorded show on www.wiry.com

Gotta love how people whine for the committee to go "by the numbers" but now they wished they hadn't ...

Is this history in the making? Will this be the first NCAA D-III Ice Hockey National Championship game in the State of Michigan?

Remy I'm not whining about the committee going by the numbers. I want to know why Elmira was still two last week and then all of a sudden this week they are 3. That's what I don't get. Especially when it cost the east a home game.

Dan, if the committee could go back and change the rankings why wouldn't they have done so so that Elmira would have hosted?

1985, I don't dislike the players. They play hard and I feel sorry for the kid who broke his wrist and couldn't play in the Playoffs. I will leave it at that.

Why do teams report inaacurate attendance figures?? I think it has to do with recruiting!

Thanks. This is exactly what i don't understand. If Plattsburgh won the comparison last week, why weren't they ahead last week. All I ask is for consistency. That's all.

Re: Post all your cries whines, objections, complaints here

Some dumb penalties??????

Season penalty statistics per collegehockeystats

Code:
  1 Univ. New England 25 557 22.3
  2 Castleton 27 535 19.8
  3 Saint Michael's 27 445 16.5
  4 New England Coll. 26 400 15.4
  5 Southern Maine 26 399 15.3
  6 Saint Anselm 26 361 13.9
  7 UMass Boston 26 337 13.0
  8 Skidmore 26 334 12.8
  9 Babson 28 354 12.6
 10 Norwich 28 260 9.3

Nearly 20 minutes per game in the course of a 27 game schedule is more than an occasional dumb penalty. That's a pattern. When Norwich has a rash of penalties in a game, those are occasional dumb penalties.

So this is how the perception thing gets going, let add some facts to this:in 16 of the 27 games this year CSC had less pen/min than the opposition, take away 5 games that were smozzels and CSC ave 15 min in penalties(still too much but there is no "pattern"), against Norwich game 1 Norwich 5p 10 min,CSC 7p 14 min, game 2 Norwich 7p 25 min CSC 9p 26min, USM 7p 25 min CSC 8p 16 min, 2 playoff games CSC 7p 14 min and 3p 6min

The difference is statistically significant. Don't try to dress it up. Every team has high penalty games. It is telling that teams that normally don't take a lot of penalties end up with more penalties than usual when they play Castleton. The second NU game is a good example Norwich took almost three times as many penalty minutes above their average.

not trying to dress it up but there is no ave of 20 min per game, yes there were 5 games and 2 of those (Middlebury and Morrisville) that account for 90 minutes, you want to make it look like CSC nothing but goons yet in 16 of the 17 they had less than their opponent. You can distort the facts with these figures but they need to be taken in perspective. I'm sure in your mind it is CSC's fault that Norwich had 35 minutes in penalties in 2 games, you can dress it up all you want but that is an average of 17.5 minutes a game

This is typical of what goes on those bad boys at CSC are the ones that caused us to take these penalties....so Morrisville 16/72 min vs CSC 12/35, Johnson and Wales 16/59 vs 8/16 ???
You can lay blame all you want but take responsibility for what your teams do and quit blaming CSC...CSC 14 of the 27 games took 7 or less penalties....keep looking for that boogy man but the young men at CSC are good guys and for you to insist that they have responsibilty for what the other teams do against them is nuts
