Just by looking at the Stats,It looks like Kyle Gunn-Taylor is the probable to start on Saturday night against Utica College...soley because he has the better stats.......who usually is the starter for Oswego St. though?

Paul Beckwith was Oswego's number one for the first four games of the season.

However, he was unable to play last weekend and Kyle Gunn Taylor stepped in nicely and did well for the Lakers.

If Beckwith is able to play, I'd imagine he'd get the starts this weekend but ya never know, Coach Gosek might mix things up a bit and go with a tandem, even though I believe he's not really a big fan of using it.

Slow day at work

Slow day at work

D1 has already released their Pairwise rankings for this year sort of tongue in cheek

Also, for those subscribing to Extra, there's a very nice article about the Ritter and a subtle goad for the top tier teams to pay RIT an away visit.

My sources tell me that the coaching staff is looking for a loophole to get Matt Wolf back into the fold, as his career GAA of 0.00 makes him the greatest goaltender in the history of man.

I heard they were trying to appeal Matt Wolf's freshman season for a medical red-shirt. He didn't appear in a single game for the Lakers that season but dressed as the third goalie for every game.

They are currently waiting to hear the results of the appeal from the NCAA appeal board.

Stay tuned.

Funny...my source tells me that the staff is questioning the NCAA to see if a clone of Ryan Scott would have 4 years of elgibility or not.

You're all wrong. With science and technology advancing so fast, a team of specialists are currently putting the final touches on the genetically engineered combination of Chris Hyk and Tim Potter. I'm not sure what they're going to name said goalie yet. Suggestions?

Its actually a combination of Paul Beckwith and Kyle Gunn-Taylor....He'll have two glove hands, who needs a stick hand anyway?:p

I didn't see KGT last weekend. Does he have as good a glove as Beckwith?

I personally think he has as good a glove hand if not better. At the beginning of the year, I was in the KGT side of the discussion of the starting goalie situation. Two years ago he was the 3rd best goalie in SUNYAC behind Hince and Scott (nothing to be ashamed of). His stats from the '07-'08 season beween the pipes include; 18 games, 7-7-4 record, 2.68 GAA and .907 Save %. Considering he was on a team that was below .500 that year and surrounded by much less talent than Hince and Scott, those stats look pretty impressive.

That being said, Beckwith has looked good so far this year. So I think they have two goalies that could carry the load. It's a good problem to have!

Let me know how that works out. I know somebody who showed up in Jan of fresh year, did not dress, practiced 1/2 the time for 3 weeks, and then got a high ankle sprain right after the team's 9th game. Cost = 1 yr of eligibility - appeal denied.

I hope you saw the sarcasm in that post:)
