I knew it would burn them one day, and today it did. I've been at my current position for 5 years now, have been told by not only my bosses, but my bosses' bosses (as in, regional, corpie) that no one at the branch can run the show like I do. They see the numbers, the man-hours worked at my building when I'm there vs not there...

The 1971 set is ****ed expensive to start with, plus the high numbers were 1) issued late in '71, so they're rare to start with, and 2) a good chunk of those were short-printed on top of that, making them even more rare. The only really big domino left for 1971 is the Roberto Clemente, and that one's gonna cost a chunk.

Afternoon Lodge. Had my 1x1 with my boss this morning and we discussed the issue that I mentioned yesterday. Thankfully it wasn't as horrible as I thought the call was going to go. It was on my mind all night and I had an unrestful night sleeping.

We just got an email from our CEO that they're giving us Friday off for Juneteenth. Which is awesome. I'm not sure if it's going to be every year or just this year, which would be weird. But still, I'm really impressed and proud that my company is doing this.
 
Afternoon Lodge. I have a headache. I've had one since Monday. Ugh. Been getting them a lot recently. Not sure what that's all about.
 
I got my arse handed to me at work. For whatever reason, it was uber-busy today. Barely made any and all deadlines. I hope that means everyone was pushing things today, because they are taking tomorrow off. And I know I'm close to being called on for the Voluntary Time Off list, which I would gladly take. It's been a rough week.

I also only get it in some threads and then it is in many posts.

The only way that I have been able to multiquote is to open two windows, quote one in each window, and then cut and paste one of them from one window to the other. It's a pain as much has become here.

I can't imagine why they would alter this to such a poor downgrade? Is it a cost cutting measure to delete a lot of features that make it functional? It cannot possibly be an upgrade- an amateur could do a better job with function- this is cumbersome and set up to make it difficult to follow.

I don't think it's a downgrade. There's obviously settings and functionalities that haven't been enabled yet (or properly). Take the smilies for instance... as far as I can tell the images don't exist in the location they're supposed to so the forum software can't display them.

Hopefully they work out the kinks before the season starts (and with COVID that may be quite a wait). In a few months we probably will look back at this and laugh, or we'll all be posting elsewhere if things don't improve.
